So should i book the 19th or the 20th off work?

Im GMT, so wondering if its worth booking the 19th off, or waiting till the 20th for a full days play?

If its released early for me on the 19th then i will go for that....hmmmm...not sure.

I wouldn't take a whole day off yet. Wait a few months until it's more complete, it'll get pretty boring an hour into doing circuits on a small map.

Yes. "LOL"

Small map, alpha, not much to do, not much to see. Yes, boring.

Bug testing/squashing is the point of it, so I'll get what I can but taking off and landing - done that ad nauseum in sim worlds, several hundreds of thousands of hours - and have lost interest in that many moons ago.

to be honest with you I can't wait to squeeze the buggery out of the FM, and I'm happy we're getting a bit at a time, it'll do wonders to improve the sim step by step :-)

I still enjoy a bit of pattern work, whether virtual or in RL. Except for the first combat bounce after being away for a while, that first flare as I cross the numbers gets my blood pumping and I can hear my own heartbeat in my headphones as I touch down.

IDK about you but I plan on doing my best Sonja Henie imitation with my Lagg. Figure Eights, Triple Axles, Hamel Camels, and Flying Sit Spins make for great tracks in the snow.

I just realized I know way too much about figure skating. Yeesh!

Book a day off? Personally, I was feeling a stomach bug coming on...

I shall probably be spending most of my time 'debugging' ground loops...

New rudder pedals, after years with a twisty stick. I seem to be ok in the air, but takeoffs and landings are another matter. 'Interesting' is probably the politest way to describe them.

I wouldn't take time off either. Not because I won't sink a lot of hours into testing the early build - I certainly will - but because the nature of the content we'll be getting from the start makes it pretty easy to pick up and put down, whenever there is a chance (provided ofc that you have any spare time at all during the "opening hours" of the early access)
