SeveB Posted November 27, 2015 Posted November 27, 2015 Hi, I just purchased BOS Premium in anticipation of my new Windows 10 PC being delivered. I did a forum search but didn't really get any concrete answer. Is BOS ok with Windows 10? Cheers, SeveB
rlk281 Posted November 28, 2015 Posted November 28, 2015 I can confirm that Win10 is working nicely (for a few weeks now) for me as well...see sig for HW.
senseispcc Posted November 28, 2015 Posted November 28, 2015 With Windows 10 there are some work to be done to it so it becomes a game friendly OS. Otherwise it is ok but a little, very little, slower.
Remontti Posted November 28, 2015 Posted November 28, 2015 How about the issue of controller id numbers getting changed when starting computer. Has it been solved?
JGr2/J5_W0LF- Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 (edited) You will have from time to time issues cause it hasn't been fixed yet. For me the only problem I have with the USB hub is my rudder pedals. I have to either restart my computer before I play or just unplug my cord and plug it back in. The latter is the easiest. SharpeXB Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 How about the issue of controller id numbers getting changed when starting computer. Has it been solved?I gather that this problem is present in Windows 8 too. I don't want to claim a solution but after installing the big November Update for W10 that problem seems to have vanished for me. That update I think replaces all of your drivers. So maybe there's a solution in there somewhere.
JGr2/J5_W0LF- Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 I have my windows 10 up to date but like I stated earlier its not so much the ID is changed, it just my pedals don't respond until I unplug them and plug them back in. It might just be the CH pro pedals issue though.
dburne Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 I gather that this problem is present in Windows 8 too. I have never seen it in Windows 8.1.
SharpeXB Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 (edited) I have never seen it in Windows 8.1.Some people haven't seen it in W10 either. It's a mystery why it happens, but there are a lot of people having this problem. But going back to the OP. A completely new machine I imagine would avoid many troubles. And there isn't any reason to stay away from the newest OS on a new machine. Edited November 29, 2015 by SharpeXB
SeveB Posted November 29, 2015 Author Posted November 29, 2015 I got my new PC today and installed BOS. All I can say is wow!! This game looks awesome, and so far Windows 10 runs it as smooth as silk. I dug out my old X-52, plugged it in and straight away I was swerving all over the sky like an idiot. Once I figure out how to set up my controls properly I will be getting shot down online
