Multiplayer is good, a few suggestions to make it great.

So me and the mates have gotten into BoS MP lately, which is a surprise considering how much most of the team disliked IL-2 series in general... and... we REALLY enjoyed it, which fills my heart with even more joy since is love prop sims. Now don't raise your eyebrows yet, I'm still here to complain.

 

So, several things can and should be improved to really make BoS a wonderfull online sim (SP still sux though Q_Q):

 

1. Server browser: please add the option to add favourite servers and to see what settings specifically the server is running on (like for example is your possition on map enabled, since most of our guys can't fly without an HSD).

2. The chat in-game: make 2 separate buttons for team chat and all chat. Pressing CTRL+Enter to talk to team only is a big problem, since you instinctively you press Enter after typing something, so now all your cunning plans are displayed to the enemy.

3. Some bacis ATC is a must. We at least need to know if someone is about to take off or land, so that we don't crash into each other. It does not need to be complicated, just give as a button to declare landing or take-off that would produce a message that a clear runway is required. It sucks big time, when after a successful bombing raid, you crash into someone taking off, instead of celebrating victory at the cantina.

4. Add an option to draw on the map for the rest of the team to see, just simple things like what we want to attack and where are we going to fly. This would allow for some awesome coop within the team.

 

This last request IMHO could be a gamechanger as it would provide a sort of pick-up and play virtual frontline - squads could join a server, plan their missions and make themselves and everyone aware of what is going on, so a lonely player could see for example that there is a bunch of bombers heading for a raid and an escort is welcome. It's kind of hard to fly the plane and text chat all the time. I really think that the best part of playing MP games of any sort is to have a clear idea of what the objectives are and be able to cooperate with the rest of the team without any text chat hustle, langueage barriers etc. Not to mention competiton would increase in a team vs team manner, rather than lonely hunters looking for prey. I know most servers have their dedicated TS, but since MP is really the bread and butter of this game, lonely players who just want to go online and not act all lost (because they are new for example), would have the opportunity to do that without any hustle. Not to mention this would be a really unique feature.
