Poor performance on mid range system even on lowest settings

I'm currently away from my gaming system i7-4790k @4.5ghz GTX980TI  which I can run on ultra except when the normal server is heavily populated then when I go into combat my frames hit the dumps <30 even on my high power system. With the system I have at my vacation house Phenom II X4 3.6ghz Nvida GTX770 4GB which isn't the best I know but still its far from slow I can't even get decent frames in the normal server at the lowest possible graphics settings. When this game was in Beta it would run perfectly on this very system at Ultra in a full server now it runs fine till I get over a battlefield or in a dog fight then it becomes a slide show. Any idea whats going on?

One of my computers is a i7 second generation and a dual gpu 6990. The game was fast and ok until 1.104. After that I had to lock fps at 30 to avoid stutters.

 

I had no problems to hit steady 60 on flight and above 30 on the ground.

 

Something went wrong and we need some bug hunters right now for performance.

 

I am very afraid of new Moscow map textures to be honest.

Same here, before 1.104 it was ok, but with 1.104 and 1.105 it became a slideshow dogfighting near the ground and somewhat stuttery at altitude. I play MP exclusively and the worst performance I get is when there are a furball near the airfield. 1st gen i7 + GTX770 here.

FPS took a significant hit for me too with 1.04. I don't know if it's the summer maps or the update though.

 

System specs: I5 4690, GTX 770 2GB, 8GB PC1600, Win10.

Have you tried, assigning a dedicated profile in the nvidia control panel 3D management? Assign the il2 BoS. Exe and application control, I have walked all my squadron to do it and it helped them out, especially toddler he runs a 4K system but he also had to add the in game fps limit.

Doesn't matter what game/sim it is, after so many updates it is sometimes necessary and there is nothing the developers can do as it just happens.

 

I had it happen with many's most favorite (first?) sim, so it isn't unique to this one.

I don't understand how a reinstall and reapplication of updates could make any logical difference to the execution of a program...

I already have a profile assigned to IL2 bos.exe and 1.105 compared to 1.104 is still a slideshow. 

A lot of fly mates have the same issue, especially in multiplayer mode and their config is up to date.

 

Lots of threads everywhere but not sure devs are aware of this because the threads are not regrouped.

I would be very much interested to know what happened reinstalling your configuration ? Any improvement  ? Are you playing MP or SP ? Can you share it with us ?

The game is running on a fresh install on this system so a reinstall isn't the issue.

Agree, reinstall has never been the solution especially as a lot of people meet the same issue... 

 

As we are in the "Hardware Software & Controllers" section it may not be taken to the attention of devs. In the relevant section "Technical Issue and bug reports" a lots of people have the same performance issue : see this thread here

Phenom II X4 3.6ghz Nvida GTX770 4GB ,...you need much better CPU for current BOS,that old Phenom is very slow cpu today,keep in mind that even i5 4460(wich is much much faster than old Phenom)is sometimes not enough to run BOS fine when too many IA units are shown.

This solution is as useful as disk de-fragmentation. I did reinstall BoS a few times and didn't get a single extra frame. Last week I upgraded my GTX 770 to 980ti and still have terrible permanence in BoS. Does not matter what graphic settings I use, low or ultra, fps still drop when I have 4+ AI planes in sight. My CPU is i5 2500k overclocked to 4.2GHz. Apparently it's not enough for this game!
