SO here is a list of top thing I hope to see going forward 1. A commander view 2. A assistant driver position 3. Addition of tanks currently in the game to be Playable 4. AAA and Katusha! 5. Ability to remap all current control inputs I really have to hand it to you guys, its a great addition to the sim, and continuing to add ground content I feel would be a big plus for the community in general! I would prioritize the list like this: 1: Control remapping 2: Make all (most) tanks and assault guns drivable 3: Commanders view/position 4: Radio operator/assistant driver 5: Make moar tanks (in your spare time - not instead of planes) I don't think, that modeling player controlled artillery would be worth the effort. Instead I propose at some point modelling artillery spotting and making it available for recon aircraft and certain light tanks/command vehicles. To be useful in MP the spotting system would have to be based on actual map coordinates (else players could just drive around the preset grid) As an artillery spotter you'd be given a selection of batteries within range to give orders to, and the coordinates you give them would have to be within range of the selected batteries. Perhaps there should also became option to give a "fire at will" command, if the enemy moves within visual range from the batteries. Edited November 25, 2015 by Finkeren

Perhaps a separate tab for tanks, something that doesn't with aircraft controls. 2. Commander view. Here I'm primarily interested in an un-buttoned position with binoculars. I'm happy for a simplified buttoned view, i.e. I'm not concerned about modelling the interior of the tank, animating crew etc. if visible to the commander (unless there's a lot of modeller free time). 3. Able to use tanks in quick mission builder. 4. Manual transmission. Nothing too sophisticated needed, I'd just like to be able to moderate my speed be remaining in a lower gear, i.e. slow approach. 5. Additional tanks (from the editor my favourites would be: Pz IV G, Stug III L/43, KV 1; others are: Stug III L/24, T-70 and BT-7). 1
Finkeren Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 Oh yeah, I actually have one more request for the tanks: 6: A "bail out" function that allows the crew to escape the tank to preserve their virtual lives. It doesn't have to be anything fancy, just a couple of guys running away from the tank (Though it would be awesome seeing correctly dressed tank crews leave the tank via the appropriate hatches and jump off)

Im trying to keep my ideas in the scope of what can be accomplished by the team with the things they have to work with. IE Not coding in an entire new interface or anything like that. What I do want to impress upon the Devs is how well the tanks come off. They did a bang up job that warrants some extra attention to flush out the experience to make it even better! I think this could really boost interest in the series. 1

I mapped the tank controllers to my joystick through the saitek software and its pretty decent. The stick moves the turret and the HAT controls the tank movements.

Allow the top gunners in the He-111/Pe-2 be the bombardier instead of having the pilot have all the workload. Flyable Ju-52 Po-2 and Li-2! Only mouse turret movement I dont find what command is - some camera. The other commands allow reassign, and since all game command allow 3 options one can do this without change the default assignments. Ctrl+C change pilot/gunner position in planes, but want use key # 1 in tanks, just add this in other column. Only if you guys are asking for exclusive commands for tanks... but remember that moto: "less keys is better". 1

I guess another option would be to keep a separate input folder, one for ground vehicles and one for A/C. The down side would be having to restart the game if going from one to the other. Still it would simplify key mapping.

If we are only able to have some minor improvements, then I think a seperate camera movement to the turret movement as Sokol1 has suggested is a must The addition of tanks is a great move by the devs. The multiplayer battles have been so much more fun. All there. So that's one less thing on my list. Oh and comeander view. Just , open the canopy" while in the gunner. But it would be much cooler to be able to use track ir while turned out. Use need that panzer IV, stug, and KV1.

Go drive your tanks... and then complain how you can't penetrate the T-34 because there's already a thread about it.. I play this game because it's one of 3 flight sims that even exist anymore. WoL isn't even full anymore. Don't dog on me for trying to defend my genre. This game needs a lot of improvement as it is in flight, A LOT, Clod is still a main competitor, they have more aircraft and features, they even came out with a Mediterranean update, yet this game (not the devs, but the community) is now focused on tanks. Buttoned (important as that was one of the main advantage of PzIII) and unbuttoned with commander model. 2. Vulnerability of unbuttoned driver (T-34) and commander. 3. Crash damage. Some sounds of the gun being reloaded would be nice though, also a commanders view with body would be even nicer. Good update though. Mick.

Make coaxial MG fire independant from main gun (no need to switch inbetween ammo for gun and MG like it is now)5. Crew voice for simple operations like Fire!AP loaded!!tank,APC,gun spotted!wounded!taking damage! I miss myself shouting at loader "бронебойным залезай!"6. Turret periscope view for T-34 and commander cupola observation slots for PzkpfwIII7. Ability to shift gears and add analog gas pedal for smoother acc/decceleration8. Skinable tanks,so we can add units insignia and other symbols used to identify who is who9. Command tree for tank platoon/company CO's (formation/follow/target designation etc) + possibility to call in arty and air support.10. MORE TANKS! 3

This is just a discussion about that particular aspect of the game. Please go make a thread elsewhere discussing your distaste that new content has been added to the sim (Content that btw didnt affect aircraft production 1 iota] 3

Commander/driver with the hatch open Oddly you can only become the commander by first becoming the gunner and then opening the hatch and hitting "T". Then you can look around with trackir as a commander would while still driving. It works out pretty well considering that this is first and foremost a flight sim. I have mapped my tank throttle to my regular throttle and it works perfect. A little throttle, goes slow, a lot goes full speed. Not sure why others are saying it doesn't exist, or doesn't work.

Just some ideas for the future. 1
