About this website's Reputation points...

 

 

We've had screenshot contests already, and, a few of us kind souls, have also gifted out complete programs, and, the premium airplanes.

 

Should we not then, either officially, through the Development Team, or even homogeneously, through ourselves, do something rep wise?

 

 

There are a handful of us that contribute quite a lot of time, in answering questions, creating paint jobs, missions, and outside aides that rock.

 

 

I believe that Bearcat has been a diligent Moderator of these forums. For better or worse, he's done an outstanding job of good moderating. :D

 

Pat Wilson, should be near the top of any list too, having come late to the scene, yet, providing us with his Campaign Generator, for examples.

 

Plenty of other notable people could fill out a few lines here, but, I digress, with a separate issue, of the Reputation points, of this here website.

 

 

Reputation points should be considered to be a "like button", without having to, or wanting to, directly write out a post to say so. I understand that.

 

Yet, some people have offered up such timely, relevant, and sometimes critically important information, should we not recognize that in some way?

 

 

I really don't know how we could establish this, so I am trolling for ideas here now. What could we do that wouldn't break the bank, or cause trouble?

 

Maybe get some "IL-2 Sturmovik hats", made up from the internet, and bestow them upon those of us that the community holds to be in high regard?

 

 

So sports fans, is there anyone to second the, "our doing something special to give back to those that give back to the structure of our community"?

The RoF forum had medals. Can't see why this wouldn't work here.

 

Indeed there are a few handful of people here who really deserve a cookie.

 

The reputation score really says nothing at all IMHO. I'm propably the non-development-team-member with the highest reputation, but that's just due to my embarrassingly large post count (yes, I'm a blabbermouth), I never actually contributed a single skin, mod, 3rd party app or won a screenshot contest.

I crossed 600 a while ago but feel I deserve more. During EA the points flowed freely but are now down to a trickle. I'm no less insightful, informative or witty. Stop being stingy with the points and load me up already.

I believe reputation points are related to post likes.
