6./ZG26_Klaus_Mann Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 It's in the title. Were level speeds tested 100% radiators, where tests corrected for temperatures etc.?
indiaciki Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 (edited) Probably by the russians (Design Bureau & VVS). The same way any other airforce did. Test pilots I guess. Edited November 20, 2015 by indiaciki

Thing is: I get proper test results for: Yak-1: with all radiators fully open, full power, 500kph at SL LaGG-3: Radiators fully closed, 507 at SL La-5: Shutters and Oil closed, continuous mode, inlet open, 510 at SL

Finkeren Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 Get a book.Several books. I think he's actually asking for input from people who have already read those books, so he wouldn't have to. It's not really an unreasonable request to ask people with more knowledge.
indiaciki Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 (edited) I've seen a great documentary about testing the Mig 25 / 31 (They were extensivly tested) . No WWII aircraft so far maybe this link might help a bit: http://www.airpages.ru/eng/ru/yak1m.shtml (Yak 1 test) Edited November 20, 2015 by indiaciki
