It's in the title. Were level speeds tested 100% radiators, where tests corrected for temperatures etc.?

Yak-1, La-5, LAGG-3 etc.

Probably by the russians (Design Bureau & VVS). The same way any other airforce did. Test pilots I guess.

Thing is:

I get proper test results for:

 

Yak-1: with all radiators fully open, full power, 500kph at SL

LaGG-3: Radiators fully closed, 507 at SL

La-5: Shutters and Oil closed, continuous mode, inlet open, 510 at SL

I think he's actually asking for input from people who have already read those books, so he wouldn't have to. It's not really an unreasonable request to ask people with more knowledge.

I've seen a great documentary about testing the Mig 25 / 31 (They were extensivly tested) . No WWII aircraft so far
