Trooper117 Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 There hasn't been some kind of update since yesterday has there? I have just started the game, and to my amazement, all my joystick settings have totally gone to shee-ite! Nothing matches from the previous day when I played the game... I now have to completely remap the whole [Edited] thing again!!!
Trooper117 Posted November 14, 2015 Author Posted November 14, 2015 Have you used another device such as a controller just prior? If I use an xbox controller in another programme then try to use BoS it changes the devices about; my joystick becomes throttle!. If I reboot my machine without turning the controller on, BoS is back to normal. Thank you... you have just saved me a lot of anguish and drama Before I started changing anything, I took your advice and did a restart. All controls seem to be back to normal... many thanks once again for that simple little tip
gn728 Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 (edited) Did you plug in another controller to play Fallout 4? Edited November 14, 2015 by gn728
SvAF/F19_Klunk Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 u dont play fall out with Anything else than your trustworthy mouse and keyboard... anything else in an abomination 3
Trooper117 Posted November 15, 2015 Author Posted November 15, 2015 lol... no I didn't use another controller. I have no idea why my controls went to pot... for instance, my throttle was mapped to my elevator. My rudder pedals worked my throttle etc... very strange!
II/JG17_HerrMurf Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 Check your drivers. My warthog stopped working until I updated. Windows wouldn't recognize an expired certificate.
SharpeXB Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 (edited) It's a problem with Windows 10 and probably 8 too. They have a habit of shuffling the joy#s Check the end of this thread, http://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/18442-bos-keeps-reassigning-joystick-numbers/ Read the part by Gramps. That solution seems to work best. 1CGS is aware of this and plans to fix the menu system so it won't rely on those numbers. Edited November 15, 2015 by SharpeXB
Guest deleted@50488 Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 I also went through the November Win 10 update, but fortunately had no specific problems with the controller drivers.

It`s the Win10 as mentioned here. Pretty confusing when happened for the first time
duko Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 I use something like this http://imgur.com/R6qoms3. I have 3 diff controllers, xbox, CH, G27, i have all plugged and power up w/e i'm using , not ever all of them That way all the ID stays the same.
Sokol1 Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 Win10 here - no problems. But how many controllers (joystick, pedal) you have plugged in your computer? And what brand? Perhaps is relative, per above linked topic, mix CH and Logitech/Saitek = issues.
SvAF/F19_Klunk Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 me and win10 plugging in TiR, X55, Combat rudders in the USB ports in the back of PC=no problem plugging in the two x55 units in the monitor (works as a usb port I guess) = issues
Sandhill Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 Windows 7 here also, tried a Steam Controller, which, it seems, will not work in Big Picture Mode with other controllers plugged in. I moved my flight controllers to a powered hub to make it one plug easy to take my flight controllers out of the system, at which point BoS (and I'd expect DCS, X-Plane etc, although I did not try them) no longer recognized some but not all of the controllers. Like ChiefWH and Trooper117 my day was saved by a simple restart, in my case with the Steam controller turned off.
Trooper117 Posted November 16, 2015 Author Posted November 16, 2015 I see someone has edited my post....

X-Plane and DCS use the actual controller name instead of the generic Windows joy# so no worries there.
Bearcat Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 I see someone has edited my post.... Yes.. Please put a little more thought into your posts when you make them. 3
Trooper117 Posted November 16, 2015 Author Posted November 16, 2015 I put a lot of thought into that post I can tell you!
Trooper117 Posted November 16, 2015 Author Posted November 16, 2015 I hope GOD answered you! LOL!...JG5_ChiefWH may not be god, but he performed a minor miracle for me
SYN_Vorlander Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 Lol. See you could have approached it differently. Have a great day.
Trooper117 Posted November 16, 2015 Author Posted November 16, 2015 I don't think so... I got the result I was looking for in under 20 mins, so my approach was highly successful! Have an spanking day yourself...
