Jirokoh Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 Hello everyone, In the school I'm in, some guys are building a DA42 cockpit, using Arduino. It looks really interesting, but before I try that out, I'd like to know if any of you guys use it, to create instrument of the instrument panels ? Or some controllers, such as thrust, trim ? Is it even possible to do on BoS ? I heard the sim has to send back data, otherwise, if it doesn't, you have to go and get them. I'm a total noob at this, never done this before, so I'd like to know what you guys think ? And if any of you ever did it before ? Thanks !
Sokol1 Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 (edited) This game don't export data, what is necessary to build instruments. You can do this for FSX, X-Plane, DCS World, il-2'46/CloD. For HID Arduino controllers (joystick, throttle, trim, button box...) is not need "reinvent the wheel", use MMjoy2 firwmare and cheap Arduinos: http://simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/3899105/1 But of course you can "reinvent", sometimes is fun.
