II/JG17_HerrMurf Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 I think the rail bridges are too narrow but now I'll have to give it a go.
indiaciki Posted November 11, 2015 Author Posted November 11, 2015 (edited) I tried and almost succeded. Please try. I was flying the E-7 and too much wing and turbulance, so I nosed over but the plane stayed on the bridge. Edited November 11, 2015 by indiaciki
Rjel Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 Doing things like this is one of the best parts of flying sims to me. Just experimenting with things like landing on a hill to see if I'd roll down. Gotta try landing on a bridge soon.

Try landing on a wharf, or as Dr.Zeeebra often does, land on another plane that's in midair Edited November 12, 2015 by Cybermat47
indiaciki Posted November 12, 2015 Author Posted November 12, 2015 (edited) I tried landings with Dr. Zeeebra in ROF but the psysics later on didn't work. He told me that it had been possible in early ROF. Not in the later versions. I think it might be possible in BOS /BOM Edited November 12, 2015 by indiaciki
indiaciki Posted November 12, 2015 Author Posted November 12, 2015 This is a failed crosswind + bad approach but I think it might be possible landing on bridges...
unreasonable Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 Looking at that bridge I would think it should be possible, unless the surface is somehow a lot rougher in the physics model than it looks. I would think that a Stuka might be your best bet? Stability at low speed, strong gear etc? I have very little Stuka time so I do not know how to get the best handling out of it, but this is what I would try first. You need a very straight roll out for sure! How about in the village/town streets? That is doable - though with difficulty - in RoF, though the surfaces are very uneven. Maybe the higher speeds of the WW2 crates really do rule out this kind of larking about. Which would be a pity - I find this kind of flying entertaining as well as a change from shooting things down.
AndyJWest Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 Having pulled this 'landing' off in RoF, I should probably avoid such stunts in BoS - I'm unlikely to get this lucky again...
-TBC-AeroAce Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 I tried to land on top of some of the longer buildings back some months ago and it was insta death!!! The scenery is physically lumpy even if it looks graphically smooth
Guest deleted@50488 Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 This two sims ( RoF and BoS7BoM ) are simple INCREDIBLE!!!!
II/JG17_HerrMurf Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 I landed in Stalingrad during EA but haven't revistied any time recently.
indiaciki Posted November 13, 2015 Author Posted November 13, 2015 I landed in stalingrad, too. Several times. Once I was hit by a shell while landing on the airfield just west of stalingrad on the rwy
