FW-190 and the Armor Plate.

just yesterday I was insta- PK'd in a 190. it was surprising. never had that happen to me in this sim. seemed like the 1st bullet must've hit me in the head- didn't hear or see any previous hits/tracers. the enemy was quite a bit lower/behind me (not directly 6). I commented in a congratulatory manner. now I see im not the only one astounded by this. it'd be interesting to see a replay from various angles to see just where the bullet hit.

It does.

 

I've been instantly killed in the Pe-2, Yak, JU-88, and Stuka.

 

Each once excluding the Pe-2, where it's happened at least twice.

 

It's not about whether it does or does not happen, it's about the frequency of it happening when being shot from a direction the plate should protect.

 

That's why we need proper testing, preferably with video evidence done to be sure.

Also, just to share it because I want to, I had a spray from a fighter kill all of my gunners in the JU-88 once. I felt bad for them but it was kinda funny because I was getting mad at the AI for not shooting back until I looked down and saw a bunch of limp bodies

Most of times I get PKs in der 110 and the 190.

The add. armor helps with the 110.

 

What I noticed with the 190 is that it seems that I get PK with the first hit. Because there are no other hits (neither sound or optical). Just red wounded - dead - external view. 

 

Maybe because you are sitting quite exposed? Ist that the price die the good view?
