(When) are the contrails being fixed?

I noticed, that the contrails at summer and autumn also start at around 4,5km, same like winter. I guess we all know that this is nonsense. They should start around 8-10km, at cold autumn days maybe 7...

I wonder if there is any plan to fix them? Also wondering that i didn't read anything about this issue so far

..kills the immersion a little, i have to say. Someone any idea about this issue?

(I know, my main critics towards BoS are getting less and less severe, they are making a good job)

Depends on the airmass Celestiale, although I believe this is not actually the reason you see them at 4,5 km in BoS....

 

You can have it at that "height" in Summer too :-)

It's mainly humidity and temperature of the air. I know that it's possible that they exist in this altitude. But very rarely. In normal climat around 20°C they should start around 8k.

After all, it does not make any sense what so ever that they start at the same alt in -20°C winter, and at +20°C+ in summer.

 

Edit: At hot, dry Stalingrad summer they should start even higher..10-11k +

Indeed you CAN, but it's very unlikely to see them below 7-8 km:

Be carefull with words like "nonsense" ... they put veeeery hard work into that game

I'm pretty sure it depends on the mission editor and the weather they set. They could set winter weather on summer maps.

 

I just wish contrails would render as far as they should.

No it doesn't. Tested it. You can set every temperature or weather. The contrails start always at 4500. Definitely the game's flaw.
