Here how I have set up my controls on my Saitek X52.

Might give others an idea on how to do it, and maybe others again have good suggestions on how they have done it.

I do miss the option to add Pitch control. Instead I have assigned two single keys (Y and U), as they were not in use already. Better than have to use a combination of keys to preform one task.

I do not use this stick, so forgive me if I'm wrong.

You mentioned Pitch control. Is that trim?

If so, you can assign the four way hat is just below your bomb release to perform pitch and roll (or yaw) trim.

On the 109 it won't work, as they use elevator trim and that must be set on an axis.

Hope this helps.

Bf 109 "Stabilizer Adjust" work too on HAT or buttons or keys, besides the axis option.

Strange?

I have "adjustable stabilizer axis" on a joystick axis (not buttons or a hat switch) and all other trims settings (that adjust pitch) on a hat, including the 190.

In my install I cannot get the stabilizer from the 109 to work with a hat switch.

Edit: I just tested it. I can set the hat switch in the options, but it does not work in game. That is..... not for me.

I disabled the axis and only enabled the hat switch for the 109 to perform the stabilizer adjustments and it did not react.

No pitch and trim is not the same.

Pitch is really "prop pitch" under engine control.

:)

I'm sorry. I completely misunderstood. I thought you wanted to control the pitch of the aircraft itself, or rather finetune it, hence the notion of trim.

The proppitch (or RPM) can also be set to a hat, so it should be possible for you to use one of the hat functions that are still available.

Good luck.
