Sandhill Posted November 7, 2015 Posted November 7, 2015 (edited) I can't seem to get them to lock by pulling back on the stick, has something changed? Still works fine on the Fw190, but it seems like on those VVS models not so much. Edited November 7, 2015 by Sandhill
Asgar Posted November 7, 2015 Posted November 7, 2015 do they even have that feature?...i never used it
Asgar Posted November 7, 2015 Posted November 7, 2015 good...i really would've started to doubt myself :D
Sandhill Posted November 7, 2015 Author Posted November 7, 2015 settled then...I have been doing a lot of ground looping on the La -5 lately, and looked for an excuse. I am a 110% fan of Chuck's Guide, and he mentions stick back tailwheel locking for all 3 planes, so I thought I perhaps it was not just that my landings had gotten worse.
Willy__ Posted November 7, 2015 Posted November 7, 2015 (edited) nd he mentions stick back tailwheel locking for all 3 planes Those 3 planes you mentioned (la5, lagg3 and pe2) doesnt have tailwheel locks, but pulling back on the stick helps keep the plane "in line" along with some good feet/rudder coordination! Keeping the RPM's up on the final run (when you are about to stop after landing) also helps (a lot) in not letting the plane ground loop. On a side note though, the Yak does have a tailwheel lock. We call it "crazy wheel" here in Portugal :-)
