Massive performance hit

Alright so I had to take a break from this game for about 3 months because of college, when I get back the games getting barely 10 fps in the menu on the absolute lowest settings when I used to get roughly 60 on the highest settings the last time I played it, here are my specs: Nvidia GeForce GTX 970m, 8 gigs of Ram, Intel core i7

 

I really don't think the game should be running like this on the machine I have, any suggestions would be helpful

Slight mistake on the specs, I have 16 gigs of ram and a 960m

if you are using the NVidia control panel to override antialiasing game setting etc you will take a massive hit on FPS particularly in the menu. If you are however using default in game settings I would suggest a re-install deleting all your game files in the IL2 folder with the exception on the input folder and any skins you may have. Hope this helps?

How would I go about making sure the control panel isn't overriding game settings?

Holy shit that fixed it, I just went into the Nvidia control panel and played around a little thank you so much
