Trooper117 Posted November 5, 2015 Posted November 5, 2015 Got the old 110 coming shortly... look familiar
6./ZG26_McKvack Posted November 5, 2015 Posted November 5, 2015 Is it just me or is the nose pretty short on the il2 Bf-110?
216th_Lucas_From_Hell Posted November 5, 2015 Posted November 5, 2015 The Airfix one definitely has a longer nose, but I did some searching for the E version specifically and the Il-2 -110 matches the images I found. I'm sure the sea of Bf-110 experts here can clarify better. My impression is that either the Bf-110C snout was longer than the rest, or the Bf-110E had it shorter than other models. It helps to use the propeller spinner as a reference.
NachtJaeger110 Posted November 5, 2015 Posted November 5, 2015 Nah, the Image below shows it wrong. Look at the angle of the armored front glass
6./ZG26_Emil Posted November 5, 2015 Posted November 5, 2015 When I built airfix kits all those years ago I'm sure I remember there were several different noses you could put on it.
Falco_Peregrinus Posted November 7, 2015 Posted November 7, 2015 (edited) Why is the 110 always shown as being shot up and down and slaughtered in these artworks? If I would be buying this model kit of the 110 I'd want to see it winning and creating havoc! Edited November 7, 2015 by Ioshic 1
Tyberan Posted November 7, 2015 Posted November 7, 2015 I'm pretty sure the nose looks longer due to the oblique angles used for action box art. See Eduards artwork. Who said all box art has the Bf110 getting shot down?

No601_Swallow Posted November 7, 2015 Posted November 7, 2015 I was never convinced about the Airfix FM. Climb rate in particular. For some reason I could only get a negative climb rate following take off from my bedroom window. DM was pretty convincing though. 4

Rjel Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 I've never cared for the Bf-110 but the new model for BoS sure does look nice.
