=IRFC=Huetz Posted December 15, 2012 Posted December 15, 2012 Ok, so this: http://forum.il2sturmovik.net/index.php?showtopic=7&page=2http://forum.il2sturmovik.net/index.php?showtopic=7&page=2 is where the devs are currently at with regards to SP, and in particular player created SP content. While I understand the decisions behind the current model in RoF (user creates content ie campaign with dev assistance which then gets put in the store for sale) I hope that the development team is aware that a lot of the original IL2 community revolved around free player created content. In fact, the communities that evolved around sites like Mission4Today, etc played a major role in keeping the original IL2 alive an going (strong) for such a long time. I therefor ask the development team to at least reconsider their stance in regard to the upcoming BoS release as I can see lacking this key feature becoming a huge turn off for a lot of veteran players and eventually newer players alike. Having a good generic campaign shipped with the game does only go as far when it comes to keeping people interested over a very long period of time. If you feel the same, please show your support and get this noticed before development kicks off fully and it may be too late. 5
gavagai Posted December 15, 2012 Posted December 15, 2012 I enjoyed making my own missions with 1946. The Rise of Flight editor's complexity puts a bottleneck on the amount of user-made content we get. I'd like to have an editor where the user's imagination is the limiting factor.
