II./JG27_Rich Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 (edited) Because we'll have to hear the taka taka taka from the enemy when we get hit Like Robert Shaw and that poor young one Simon. Edited November 6, 2013 by II./JG27Richie
Finkeren Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 I might have missed something. I thought there was gonna be no multipleyer until the not-so-early-access. In any case, I would rather use the lack of guns to try out some impressive maneuvering. Who is up for doing a close head-on pass, with one of the planes inverted, cockpits open and use the hand signals to "high five" the other pilot just as the inverted plane passes over the other? Else, if we absolutely have to shoot at one another, there is always the oportunity to use the flare guns, which we have already seen working in the sim.
FlatSpinMan Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 if we absolutely have to shoot at one another, there is always the oportunity to use the flare guns, We do and we shall, although the flyby high five idea is inspired. Once we have multiplayer.

=BKHZ=Furbs Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 I know we need to log on online, after that im still not 100% sure how its going to work this early in the access. Do we make our own server? can people join me? or will there be official servers to join? Still unsure.
Rjel Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 It might be to some of ours advantage if there isn't a multi player component at first. As much as I enjoy splattering myself all over the landscape when trying out a new sim, it will be nice to get a handle on the flight model a little bit before demonstrating my lack of skill to the entire world.
SYN_Jedders Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 It just made me think a little about the fellas in 1940 (Yes boys WW2 was going on before 1943 ) and how they were training to go into combat. Im pretty sure they wouldnt mind a little "single player" before heading for "multiplayer combat"

II./JG27_Rich Posted November 6, 2013 Author Posted November 6, 2013 (edited) Yes. The term " online" was used to specify the login procedure since we have 2 options in ROF. First early access sessions will only be available with online login, which means that your account will be authorised on our server (just like activation logins in ROF) and remain at this state all the time you'll be playing. It's not multiplayer, that will be offered to you a couple of sessions later. So no. Not at first. Edited November 6, 2013 by II./JG27Richie
Tone71 Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 (edited) It would be useful if people correctly used the terms online/offline to mean with/without internet connection, and single/multiplayer to mean just that. So the initial early access will be online only, single player only. Edited November 6, 2013 by Tone71

Me too, If it can be done..bad, then I have done it! A little "don't watch me screw up" the first few days would be fine. After that I'm with Richie , multiplayer!
