rlk281 Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 Am very curious about how others set-up their MS Sidewinder stick hat-switch/buttons...here's mine to get the ball rolling: Trigger: Fire MG only B2: Cannon only Hat switch: 0: Free-view outside view of aircraft 90: Cockpit gunsite-centered 180: Fly-by view 270: Cockpit gunsight-centered B3: Zoom-in B4: Zoom-out B7: Fire all-guns B8: Nothing :/ B6: Elevator trim-down B5:Elevator trim-up
Sokol1 Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 (edited) "B7: Fire all-guns" This is not needed, just press Trigger and B2 at same time for fire all guns. More intuitive than press a button on base. Edited October 30, 2015 by Sokol1
VBF-12_Stick-95 Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 My config: Trigger: Fire MG only B2: Cannon only (Both to fire both) Hat switch: 0: Prop pitch fine 90: Mixture Increase 180: Prop pitch course 270: Mixture Decrease B3: Rockets B4: Bombs B5: Cockpit lights B6: Landing light B7: Nav Lights B8: Start engine Throttle: Stabilizer 109 I have a CH Throttle to handle throttle and many other controls.
=EXPEND=Tripwire Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 I run a program called Joytokey with my MSFFB2. I map almost all of the stick buttons (except guns and TIR reset) to keyboard keys. Bonus to this is you set one or two buttons as "shift" keys and then map the buttons to different functions. Works a treat given the shortage of buttons on the MSFFB2. (I don't have a separate HOTAS yet). i.e. hat-up/down i set to zoom in/out but button 8+hat up = manual radiators etc. button 6/5 for flaps, button 8+button 6/5 controls stabilizer on 109. 2
Matt Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 B1 = MG B2 = Cannon B3 = Rocket B4 = Bomb Hat switch = zoom in/ out and view instrument board Lever = mixture I use it together with my Warthog throttle, which covers the rest and I don't use the buttons on the FFB base.

rlk281 Posted October 30, 2015 Author Posted October 30, 2015 I will be checking this out pronto...TY! I run a program called Joytokey with my MSFFB2. Are you using just the SW and keyboard? Yep, except for a TrackIR4...
BazzaLB Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 I've never been able to eliminate the stutter from my trackIR the moment I enable FFB with my MSFFB2. I know mine isn't an isolated case. Has anyone else experienced this and managed to fix it? Currently I play without FFB.
