Reflected Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 That's a great looking skin, Spectre. Very nice job on the color balance! When did they change the camo from RLM 70/71 to 75/76? Anyone knows? Only in '41, right?
Pierre64 Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 ...When did they change the camo from RLM 70/71 to 75/76? Anyone knows? Only in '41, right? Did they really change? http://falkeeins.blogspot.co.uk/2010/06/photos-of-wespen-bf-109e-7-jabo-sub.html
Pierre64 Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 For Luftwaffe day fighters, early (Poland, Phoney war) green 70/71/65 camouflage was replaced by grey-green 02/71/65 during winter-spring 1939-40. Introduction of grey 74/75/76 from mid 1941. IMO, being manufactured in 1940, E-4/B and E-7 were theorically initially camouflaged with 02/71/65 and probably repainted during their operational career. But who knows exactly?

I'll go with the 65/02/71 then. It has the highest probability, according to all studies I found on the web.

Dutchvdm Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 Although i like the ZG1 skins, for the Battle of Stalingrad scenario a Schlachtgeschwader skin would be more usefull. Stab 1 and Gruppe 1 actually flew them there. Maybe a nice option? Grt Martijn 3

XQ_Lothar29 Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 Lothar please tell me you're making an HK version Please! :-D Whenever the two versions, I like everything so historical. I do not understand even regulations in many countries not to allow HK..

Yankee_One Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 Here is a quick preview of a skin.. I need help identifiing the unit.. Looking good. On the internet: "Red 15" Messerschmitt Bf 109 E-7 of 2. Ausbildungsstaffel/ JG 77 in flight over Rumania in late 1941.
FAW-Tromplamort Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 (edited) Thank you LCSummers . Now I still have the alpha layer and weathering to work. Edited October 30, 2015 by FAW-Tromplamort
Reflected Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 Nice job! I think you should add the other camo color to the upper fuselage too.
viperrm64 Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 Sorry I deleted my earlier E7 repaint post as I left in the swastikas on one of my shots which I do humbly apologise for. Here are some new shots with the revised camouflage to top surfaces of fuselage as suggested by Reflected. I'm still not entirely happy with it but it looks ok. Cheers Rob. P.S.Thanks to Reflected, you were right I forgot all about the top of the fuselage. 1
