smink1701 Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 First ... great job developers on an amazing update! Thank you for all your hard work and giving new life to this "Best of Class" sim. Ive notice a few things and would be interested in what others are perceiving. I'll start off with ... -Looks like the color saturation is a bit high with SweetFx turned on. When I tried the game with AA X4 SFx is not working and the color pallet was not as overdone IMHO. Still playing with setting but the color map is something we are not used to seeing so it's going to take some getting used to. -The shadow jaggies seem to be gone in cockpit mode which is a real plus. The cockpit frame shadow has a smooth edge now. What's everyone else seeing and hearing???
DD_Arthur Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 The cockpit of the E7 makes me want to cheer. They nailed it with this one.
TG-55Panthercules Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 I was initially rather disappointed with the visuals on the summer map - very washed out looking and lots of jaggies/shimmering. When I started investigating, I realized that my in-game AA settings had been reset to zero, and the gamma was reset to 1.00000. When I put those back to 4x and 0.75000 respectively, things got much better. At this point, I'm pretty happy, but still tweaking a bit. Things still seem a bit washed out looking (and I'm not sure I can drop the gamma much further without making my cockpits too dark), and the settings I was using for Reshade/SweetFX before the update weren't looking too good after the update, so I've disabled Reshade for now. One thing I've noticed is that the "bubble of blur" effect at mid/low altitudes is still there, but seems a little less noticeable on the winter map and is definitely less noticeable (basically a non-problem for me at this point) on the summer map. I'm pretty stoked about that, as it means I may actually be able to enjoy flying BoS again, for sure on the summer maps and maybe even on the winter ones. Haven't had any time to do more than just pop in a few times and look around, but so far this seems very promising. 1
