GridiroN Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 Hey guuuuys, So I've been playing the game for almost a year now, and I dunno if I still suck bad, or what, but I still find the Campaign AI very challenging. Does anyone else have the same experience? I'm finding the AI does some things that I wouldn't think a real human would either have the skill to do, or would take the gamble to try, like charging me head on in a game of chicken (and of course since the AI flies near perfectly, scores critical hits every time). Or am I just not learning properly??
Finkeren Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 There's one thing AI in flight sims has always done really well, and that's aiming. Try outflying your AI opponents rather than go head-to-head with them.

Or am I just not learning properly?? I only fly against AI occasionally so can't really comment on whether their skill level has increased or not but as Fink alluded, you're under no obligation to go head-to-head with them. Just roll left or right or low a little (just before they get within gun range) and go right through the merge. Once on the other side, use your speed to extend and climb. Unless you know for a fact that the bad guy is out of ammo, H2H attacks should be avoided if at all possible. Edited October 28, 2015 by Wulf
