16th-BR_diditopgun Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 Hi Dev's ! First, thank for new seasons map, especially the summer one which look pretty good! Just a big "detail" about trees. In near distance trees suffer of a texture "clipping" problem which is really annoying. In low altitude trees around my plane drastically switch from a texture to an other. Of course it's only visible in motion. I play the game in ultra settings with view distance on x4. thanks to consider this issue.
Dakpilot Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 Seems to only happen in about 1 in 10 times, cant see a pattern to it but i have experienced this, can lead to a 'patchwork' effect over forest area Cheers Dakpilot

dougandtoni Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 Have the same thing in RoF. Wish I could get rid of it. Really spoils the visuals for me.
Zettman Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 Same problem here. 'patchwork' describes it quite well (thanks Dakpilot, I was thinking about how to descibe the effect in short). Anybody tried if 'windowed' and 'fullscreen' have any effect on this? Zettman
SYN_Skydance Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 I noticed the trees in the Stalingrad summer map flicker between shades of green and brown when flying low level. It doesn't seem to happen every time.
TG-55Panthercules Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 (edited) I noticed the trees in the Stalingrad summer map flicker between shades of green and brown when flying low level. It doesn't seem to happen every time. I get it every time , but it is way worse down low (400m or so) than it is from up higher. It happens in RoF too, and it's annoying there too, but it's much more pronounced in BoS - seems like watching a field full of green popcorn starting to pop. I suspect that the marked difference is a function of how much faster the planes are in BoS, but haven't been able to test that theory. Edited November 1, 2015 by TG-55Panthercules
Dakpilot Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 In Nvidia control panel setting Texture filtering negative LoD bias to -Clamp This seems to stop the "patchwork" colour issue, am not 100% certain but this was (I think ) the only setting I changed Cheers Dakpilot
