Bomred Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 I am just a rookie that has been playing with IL2 1946. I miss a good training program as CoD has (I´ve heard about it). Will BoS have a training mode in the way of CoD? It will be very useful for beginers as me. Thanks. If it has it, I will update my PC and buy BoS. It looks awesome!!!!
Schwalbee Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 (edited) It mostly likely will... RoF has takeoff, landing, and dogfight tutorial for every plane I believe Where u can attack ground targets, barrage balloons, etc Edited November 4, 2013 by Schwalbe

RoF has takeoff, landing, and dogfight tutorial for every plane I believe Where u can attack ground targets, barrage balloons, etc Actually, ROF comes with a training campaign - that is actually pretty good, but it only covers one plane - The Spad XIII. It has a pretty neat introduction to each level of the training by a commander that goes over the steps that will be learned in that training mission that is kind of cool. When I first got ROF, I flew a few quick missions then decided I wanted to do a campaign, so I did that one first. It was certainly helpful. And seriously, I absolutely love Cliffs of Dover especially with what TF has done for it, but as far as a training campaign, well that is certainly not one of it's strong suites. If they do similar to what they did for ROF, or even expand on it for BOS, it should be pretty decent. Now also, there are several training videos that cover all the planes in ROF, made by Requiem = and I am sure I have seen where he is planning on doing the same for BOS- if they are anything like his work for ROF, they will be awesome. rolikiraly Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 It will have a quick mission mode where you can practice everything you want, dogfight 1v1 against any type or even just take off and land, you don't have to set any other plane. As for tutorials and tips i'm sure there will be plenty of useful videos on Youtube covering all types and all important air maneuvers
Sokol1 Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 (edited) I miss a good training program as CoD has (I´ve heard about it). Cl+D "Training" is almost useless, for various reasons the Tiger Moth is the most difficult single engine plane to take-off in the game... (a bad idea bad implemented...). The best training is join a online Squadron that have a training program - some have. Sokol1 Edited November 4, 2013 by Sokol1
Bomred Posted November 4, 2013 Author Posted November 4, 2013 Thank you everyone. It´s a pity but my job is quite demanding and I don´t have as much time as I would like. I will take a look at the videos, then. I have some problems with IL2 1946, since I think the prop pitch did not work properly (I can´t change it anyway), once I take off it is impossible to reach more than 350km/h, so I had to turn the autopilot on, then it speed up and then turn it off just to be able to gain speed...
SCG_Neun Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 (edited) Freycinet, who is an active contributor to these sims, has a great site dedicated to training and inflight videos within the COD realm. He's really helped me learn the ins and outs within that sim and if you watch some of his videos you can get a feel for what BOS will have in store for us. Even if you don't have Cliff's of Dover....check them out. http://www.flightsimvids.com/ Edited November 4, 2013 by JagdNeun
SCG_Neun Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 I only really fly the 109......and every now and then jump in a spitfire, so his tutorials cover what I needed. Both models 109 and spit are my personal favorites. Good luck....
Bomred Posted November 4, 2013 Author Posted November 4, 2013 In fact, I only fly Bf 109 as well. I think it is the easiest one. FW190 is more complex. I hope I improve a little with the videos...
