I have upgraded to a NVidia gtx 970 from a gtx 660ti, now I cant start the game. I keep getting an error that says "cant  create direct3d device" anyone else have this proble,.. I have reinstalled video card drivers clean.

Try running the DirectX redistribute again.

It's in the \IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Stalingrad\_CommonRedist\DirectX

 

Or just download the directx files again and re-install.

How do you change resolution in launcher, I haven't seen that option. Re installing ditectx didn't help

nothing to do with your driver. do you use softth?

I had this a while back as well. I fixed it at once, but I can't remember what the issue was. Think I've might been setting up softTH.

 

If you are using any injector like sweetFX/Reshade or softTH, try replacing the dx9 dll with the original and apply the injector again, from scratch.

I don't have any aftermarket ad-ons, But I should mention that it is Steam version if that matters..Thanks.

Got it. Thanks..it was resolution. I have went from 3 screens to 1 big screen. This is the only game/program that didn't self adjust..
