Thread: CLoD crashing on Windows 10

"Try this (following Colanders suggestion and what the one did, I recently helped):
- Uninstall all and everything (Steam, CloD).
- Make sure the folder "1C Softclub" in "My Documents" is deleted, too.
- Install Steam and CloD. Do not start Clod yet
- Check "game file integrity" (or whatever it's called) of CloD in Steam (Library, CloD, Properties...)
- Disable Steam Cloud for CloD
- Disable Steam overlay for CloD, change its hotkey (default shift-tab) to something absurd (Ctrl+Shift+Alt+F12)
- locate the CloD folder within the Steam (something like .../Steam/common/apps/Cliffs of Dover - iIrc can somebody please check and provide the correct path, I can't right now) and copy that somewhere outside of steam and Windows (let's use "C:\Games\Clod").
- locate the file logo.wmp in C:\Games\Clod\parts\core\gui (again: iIrc, can somebody please check and provide the correct path, I can't right now) and rename it to "logo.wmp.old" (you may have to disable the "hide known extensions" in the folder options of Windows)
- in C:\Games\Clod\redist run all the installations of .net, directx, etc. (if they refuse, because "a newer version is installed", that's fine)
- Install the TF-Patch 3.0 into C:\Games\Clod
- Install the TF-Patch 3.01 Minipatch into C:\Games\Clod
- start steam (you've always have to do this before you start CloD, when it is outside the steam directory)
- run C:\Games\Clod\launcher.exe

Pray."

To run CLoD in Win8/8.1 or Win10 without install Team Fusion MOD (highly recommended due fix and improvements), just use the CloDer.exe memory fix - not need if install TF MOD.

I have 3 CloD install, the "Vanila" release + 1st patch only, the "Vanilla" + last official patch and TF 4.03, all work OK in Win7/64, Win10/64 (none installed in Program Folder\Steam folder).
