Confirmation of Locked Tailwheel in the Macchi

Anybody any clue how you know, with Icons Off, if the tail wheel in the 202 is locked or unlocked?

 

I took a good look around the cockpit and could not see anything move when I locked/unlocked the tailwheel.

 

Kind of annoying to have to switch the icons on to know

 

This is quite a strange bird to me, I like it but the handling is kinda quirky and I'm still trying to achieve successful take offs, now and agian no problems but not consistent. Seems like it likes to swing a lot

there's a "T" lever right frontside of the seat that switches, so you can see.
