HagarTheHorrible Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 Or to put it another way "Nature abhors a vacuum". There seems to be a little angst on the forums recently, personally I simply put it down to "Horror vacui" while waiting, with baited breath (what a disgusting thought), for BoS to start in Ernest. Might I suggest, as I have tried to do, filling the forums with interesting, possibly witty and useful information, maybe even your wishes, however ludicrous, that might be pertinent to preparing and getting the most out of BoS when it arrives (I freely admit that in my case it is mostly drivel). Just say stuff that is friendly useful banter and then when the Alpha comes out provide lots of impressions and constructive debate to try and help everyone along, hell if you can't think of something constructive then just tell a joke and give everyone a laugh (I enjoyed the BoS Downfall spoof). If anybody is having a rant then just either ignore them or realise that is just some peoples way of filling a vacuum, smile, move on and provide something interesting to discuss in another thread.

So you honestly think by starting dozens of spam threads about topics of hot air is going to some how create interest? Just because you are bored?
HagarTheHorrible Posted November 3, 2013 Author Posted November 3, 2013 Bored, bored !!!!!!!! How can you accuse me of being bored ? The weather outside (as opposed to the indoor variety) is rubbish, my wife is away rowing for the morning and I have been left in sole charge of two children, under the age of five. I'M GOING TOTALLY NUTS.
SCG_Neun Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 I think it's good advice to let everyone have their own opinion about how the sim is coming along and not try to convince them otherwise. Some of the comments have been taken care of by the moderators when they have crossed the line a bit and that's their job, not mine. I can't recall seeing one example of anyone changing anyone's unhappiness with the release conditions and progress thus far. In the same spirit, none of the dissenters have challenged me because I'm supportive and understanding of the way things are shaking out......Even the moderators have been understanding about trying to deal with some of the anger posted post 38 and 39. When you post something, whether it be pro or con and direct it towards an individual, very often it can become a challenge of sorts.....and you can expect....post after post....trying to make a point in the presence of the forum. If you PM them, it's between you and them....it's like taking them off to the side....and having a chat.....Not a dressing down in front of the regiment...so to say.
Sternjaeger Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 I think there are a lot of shellshocked victims from the previous IL-2 experience mate, but I agree, we need more cheer, cheek and geek!
