Picchio Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 (edited) I'm adding some accuracy to the OP's kind effort in sharing these information and instructions. The program is called Reshade, (not preshader or all the variants I've read so far around here); the screenshots in the OP are referring to an outdated version; there is no existing preshader.exe to run, only Mediator.exe. Once it's running, within the Mediator menu, the user has to: - Add the desired application with the correct rendering option (DirectX/OpenGL, usually detected automatically). - Add a preset for that application and edit it at his/her preference by checking/unchecking available shaders in the Pipeline menu, noting the group the shader belongs to (indicated and listed as shader name - group). - Adjust the shader's settings and values in detail, which can be found by referring to the shader's group menu (BasicFX, CustomFX, etc.). I hope I've been of help. Please refer to README.txt as well, you will find it in your main directory once you unzip the archive. It's there for a reason. There's also the chance to adjust and play with "out of range" shader values, at least with some of them, but that requires manual editing, similarly to how settings were adjusted by editing SweetFX's notepad files, although I won't describe the process here. Luger1969 Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 Thanks all for the advice. Appreciated 71st and Picchio. Is there a performance hit ito Fps.
Picchio Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 (edited) Impact on performance is highly dependent on which shaders you use and with which settings. Generally, the presets shown around here are only altering colours (although, sometimes, with too many redundant/conflicting settings, at least for my liking); the shaders used to obtain such results have little to no hit on performance. My advice is to always try for yourself and check and know what does what. There's plenty of information and showcasing available in the official Forum: http://reshade.me/forum Edited October 14, 2015 by Picchio

VBF-12_Stick-95 Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 (edited) I have the SweetFX 2.0 Alpha version working. Doing a manual install of the Beta as I will be using JSGME. The Readme says "Setup then copies and renames ReShade (reshade.fx) + SweetFX (sweet.fx) to the game directory...". Does anyone know what these files are renamed to? I pretty sure the sweet.fx file is renamed d3d9.fx to go with the renamed dll file but I am not sure about the reshade.fx. Edited October 14, 2015 by MrStick
