Head Zoom Key Binding?

Hello All,

 

I using a Track IR but sometimes when I'm lining up for a shot, moving my head closer to the monitor doesn't give me enough zoom on my sights and is quite awkward... I've seen footages of other players instantly zooming in very closely when they are aiming and instantly zoom back out when they want a wider FOV. Is there a way to do this?

Under Pilot Head Controls, it's called Head Zoom I think.

 

To zoom in your cockpit view with your keyboard, press the numpad + key (Pilot head: zoom in). To zoom out your view, press the numpad – key (Pilot head: zoom out). You can also use your mouse's scroll wheel to zoom in and out (Pilot head: zoom). To return to the default, un-zoomed view, press the numpad * key (Pilot head: reset zoom).

Depending on what joystick you are using you may be able to bind the zoom control to a hat switch. I use an X55 and the zoom is on the H2 hat, very convenient to get to with my thumb.
