I'v just downloaded the single player version of Ratas and Stukas, and on a few occasions just at the start of a dog fight and for no apparent reason, the game crashes completely back to desktop? Is this a game or Windows fault ? Cheers.
Leutnant_Artur Posted October 10, 2015 Posted October 10, 2015 I think its games fault. CTD are random in dog fights and in straight flight. Its hard to figure out when it will happen ;/

Finkeren Posted October 10, 2015 Posted October 10, 2015 For me on my 4 year old system the sim has been rock solid lately. Haven't had a CTD in months. I get slight stuttering in SP when a formation of planes comes inside visual range and occasionally experience FPS drops with lots of aircraft on the screen, but apart from that, I have no trouble running the sim on max graphics.

When pushing the "refly" button, 6 out of 10 times I need to restart. This is going on since the last 2 months or so. It just crashes a lot.

Literally impossible due to the CTD's. Doesn't happen to me much in multiplayer. Also.. - 90% of the time when I return to the main menu. - If that works, then it crashes 100% of the time when I click the exit button. The last two aren't as important as the ones Bando mentioned. I'm sure that there are many who have prepared for this wonderful sim, upgrading their rigs to be able to play this flight experience in all it's glory,only to be disappointed by an intermittent problem.

After almost 2 years it's time to stabilize and optimize guys ... instead of trying to sell new planes and maps only. A good balance between fix and innovation would be welcome !

Usually when I was tinkering with graphics settings. In my case turning in-game anti aliasing off made the game crash after every mission. Turning the AA back on fixed it. Strange.
Jupp Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 (edited) ~S~ Remontti, Confirmed. I had crashes when exiting, after turning off AA in game, because I use Reshade for SweetFX. After reading your post, I turned in game back on, to 4, and sure enough, I just exited and did not have a crash. You're certainly on to something causing the IL-2 has stopped working bug, and it appears to be program related. LoneStar_47 Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 I having same problem as Voidhunger. Track replay crashes within first minute of replay. So far only from Wings of Liberty. Will try another server when I have some free time and report back results.
[I.NJG137]HerrKules Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 I have since the new driver by nVidia comes out problem with Direct probably. Almost Everytime when i start the game it falls - D3D error and i must restart PC, so i have to run the game with older driver...

TheElf Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 Same here. Wings of liberty server. MP. All my tracks crash to desktop. Never seen this before. AMD Vishers 8-Core @ 4.0 Ghz, GTX 970, 16mb RAM. Also had a few CTDs with a yak in my sights from MP. : (
