Resolution Problem!

Hi, I got some resolution problem, described undre... I can sadly not fix it by my self...

Step:

1. the game was "lagging/didn't work properly" I have a Lenovo Y50-70 15.6" UHD, GeForche GTX960M 4GB, Core i7-4720HQ, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD, Windows 8.1. 

2. Did try to Fix the problem, but my pc "skills" are not as god as i tough... So i changed the grapic down, and everyting to the "lowest" settnings. I also changed the resolution to something else then "orginal"(don't remeber what i tok)... That i sould not done, because the gameplay zoomed inn, as shown on the "screenshot"(I can't take screenshot on my pc because of the fault, and when i do, the screen shot just come up as normal(not zoomed in) )

3.Now i can't push more then "enter" in the "login" section. Because all the outer "options" are "outside" the screen, if you know what i mean. 

4. I can't play the game anymore because of my fail... 

5. Tried to unstall it and install it again, without no help... 

6. Hoping that you now understand.

7.Btw, my pc using "screen resolution" 3840x2160

 

8. The only answer to the problem i got from 1CGS Support Team was: Hi, ATTENCION! To contact support, necessarily use the form "support", which is available on our site AND Hi, You make sense to reduce the size of items on your desktop, in your Windows display-setting. 

 

So that didn't help me much....

You can try restoring your resolution directly in :

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Stalingrad\data\startup.cfg

 

In this section :

    full_height = 900
    full_width = 1600

Thank yoy for reply'n But did not work with  full_height = 900

    full_width = 1600

 

So what to do now? 

Awesome! Got it to work, just changed  win_height = 720

    win_width = 1280 and the problem was solved! Thanks so much for the help!

I think I understand your problem.

 

Are you running the game at 3840x2160 and therefore in Windows you have your text set at 1.5 or 2x the size in order to be readable?

 

For some reason BoS scales itself up on your screen based upon this text size you set in Windows. So you need to run BoS with Full Screen checked or else it will scale itself larger than your screen.

Are you running the game at 3840x2160 and therefore in Windows you have your text set at 1.5 or 2x the size in order to be readable?

 

For some reason BoS scales itself up on your screen based upon this text size you set in Windows. So you need to run BoS with Full Screen checked or else it will scale itself larger than your screen.

That just helped me on a number of games on Windows 10 I was struggling with! (Got new computer with 5120x2880 res)... Thanks!!
