Team Fusion Buzzsaw Posted October 1, 2015 Team Fusion Posted October 1, 2015 Opportunity to pick up this great title for a ridiculously low price. http://www.gamersgate.com/DD-IL2CODUS/il-2-sturmovik-cliffs-of-dover Don't forget to install the Team Fusion Mods, Vanilla game is not worthwhile as it stands: http://theairtacticalassaultgroup.com/forum/showthread.php?t=5058&p=52711 5
Chuck_Owl Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 still not worth it You're a broken record, john. We heard you the first 98 times. 4
Lusekofte Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 (edited) HA ha ha, always haters around, it is part of the game. All WW2 sims are a good thing for all. and should be supported by all. You see people migrate between the existing games and the community grows faster. There are far more active flyers total in COD and that means your problem is a matter of taste. And that is fine, I prefer flying BOS at the moment too. But why this anti attitude, you should be careful with it, you might manage to speak people into not take advantage of the offer and never try out a sim they might actually love. And then you are guilty of breaking human rights. Edited October 22, 2015 by LuseKofte 1
Felix58 Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 Shame they could not bundle CLoD and TF Patch in one installation. A lot of aggravation if you are not familiar with patching. Although dated, a better place to start than '46 (classic for its time). 1
Lusekofte Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 Oh I like old IL2 offline and a sundaysortie still . It is worth flying
dburne Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 TF modded Cliffs of Dover is pretty dang awesome, well worth the price of admission. And there will be more coming from TF as well, so it will only get better. What those guys have done for the sim is amazing. 2
MAJ_Raptor Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 I also have to agree Modded Cliffs is a very good game now online. And the guys at ATAG are a lot of fun to fly with.
bokepacha Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 It was worth it at 9$ when I bought it and it is worth now!
Cybermat47 Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 With the TF patch, this game is worth every cent!
II./JG27_Rich Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 still not worth it well here's a game that's not worth buying 2
Lusekofte Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 As I said I like both games, but been flying BOS more. But I slowly migrating toward COD. My problem is the lack of dedication and time. BOS is simply easier to survive flying alone. But with the Beufighter and Wellington coming with TF 5 I probably spend my time in COD. To play a game more does not require the need for hating another. Lack of interest of it should be equal to ignoring it, like not comment about it. By the way Fun night Nov 28 . Icons on war thunder style all planes all side http://theairtacticalassaultgroup.com/forum/showthread.php?t=19533&p=210975#post210975
IRRE_Rolluptito Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 well here's a game that's not worth buying Hi Rich, Awesome video! I have a little question for you though: how do you use this nice command room? Is it an app to add to the game or completly independant and works with the server only? Rolluptito S!

WokeUpDead Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 How do the hardware requirements compare between BoS and CoD? I know what the official requirements are, but I wonder if the TF Mods make a difference. My laptop has lots of ram, a strong processor, but only an OK video card and so I get about 30fps in BoS. Is CoD more demanding?
FS_Fenice_1965 Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 Hi Woke up ! In my opinion CLOD is slightly more demanding than BOS. By the way I can run it quite flawlessly with an NVIDIA 670 2gb. Actualy I have an I5 skylake and 8gb ram. Previously I was able to fly it with an AMD 8320 with high settings and almost same performances.
Lusekofte Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 My Rig run COD better than BOS. I think it is my CPU i7 2,8 that does this and my GPU GTX 680 . But I run it smooth with some medium settings
II./JG27_Rich Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 Better on Cliffs of Dover than BOS also
FS_Fenice_1965 Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 It seems like those having better vidcards are having better results with CLOD than BOS. Probably CLOD is depending more on vidcard than BOS, which is depending more on CPU. This is hardly surprising considered the different way the two games handle the AI. Also CLOD was famous at the beginning for saturation of Vram. BOS is less Vram demanding IMHO.
[KEHE]Halemann Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 my thrustmaster 16000 didn´t function in il2 CoD
Sokol1 Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 (edited) Should be work but you need re-assign the axis and buttons. Go in Options > Controls > Tab Axes > Select Aileron function (the assignment box is misleading, say "press a key" instead move a axis), move the joy and hit APPLY. Same for elevator, throttle and rudder. Then in Tab Keys assign the buttons. This guide can help: http://www.justflight.com/support/il2-cliffs-of-dover/15e7fd7 For more help go there: http://theairtacticalassaultgroup.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=63 Edited January 1, 2016 by Sokol1
Boomerang Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 Any word on the latest patch for Cliffs of Dover anyone?
Dakpilot Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 Sure I read somewhere It was aiming for third quarter of 2016 Cheers Dakpilot
Hoots Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 Yep, June is the planned date but TF are all volunteers so slippage may occur. Beefy patch though
Cybermat47 Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 Yep, June is the planned date but TF are all volunteers so slippage may occur. Beefy patch though Flyable Ju-88 C-2, P-40, Martlet/F4F, Spitfire Mk. Vb trop, Bf-109 E-7 and F, Wellington, Beaufighter, and IIRC Gladiator, CR.42, and D.520. New ships like Nelson class BBs and Type VII U-boats. Not to mention a new theatre, doubtlessly the Med judging by the trop Spitfire, Nelson BBs and VIIs. It's going to be great. Anyone up for bombing Force H? I'm up for it, it'll be revenge for when I had a hard time hunting them in Silent Hunter 5. I can still remember the adrenaline rush when I saw two Force H carriers steaming out of Gibraltar.
DD_Arthur Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 (edited) Plank; get the Gamersgate one if its cheaper. Cliffs runs through Steam anyway so while you are DL'ing Cliffs I'd get Steam downloaded and set up. The vanilla version of Cliffs is still fairly horrific in terms of performance, functionality, etc. so the Team Fusion mods are a must have. Have a good look at this; http://theairtacticalassaultgroup.com/forum/showthread.php?t=5058&p=52711 ATAG Lewis btw is a very nice man indeed. Edit; what exactly do Kiwi's smell like? Edited January 3, 2016 by DD_Arthur
Lusekofte Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 HA Ha Plank, you got the sentence of the week award.
Sokol1 Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 Be aware that CloD dont run in Win 8/8.1 and 10 without CloDer.exe replacing the Launcher.exe (or TF patches installed), case you want look at the game after download from STEAM, before use the MOD packs. http://forum.1cpublishing.eu/showthread.php?t=36078
HippyDruid Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 Edit; what exactly do Kiwi's smell like? Musty old Hobbits and sheep! Not much different from Wombats really. In all seriousness I haven't played Clod in a while. I might fire it up.
DD_Arthur Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 Plowed into the English Channel in my new Su-26... ok, I believe now. Ahh...the Su-26. Yes. Does it still fire photon torpedoes or did I dream that?
Lusekofte Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 Flying in London gives a great feeling, I was in a Zerstoerer squad and we made a coop mission trying to bomb Big ben, with a lot of flak. We flew that mission a lot of times and never made it, eventually it became a competition to stay alive the longest, because we knew we did not have a chance. Flying low along the Thames
Picchio Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 (edited) Asking here in case someone knows: any news on the release of Desastersoft's Channel Battles: RAF? Or has it been given up on? Edited January 6, 2016 by Picchio
ram0506 Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 I think Tom of Desastersoft said, that they will make a RAF edition, if sale numbers of the LW Channel Battles are high enough. Obviously this wasn't the case.
Picchio Posted January 7, 2016 Posted January 7, 2016 Yeah, I had the same info but didn't trust it as solid. Shame though...
JG4_Continuo Posted January 7, 2016 Posted January 7, 2016 afaik they are planing a campaign for the new map tough... also, there seems to be a bit hope that the AI-Commands will work with TF 5.0.... which would make the single-player-gameplay much better!
