Cool - I didn't think of that

I guess so. I was going to complete 112SQN using the few photos and records I have. I will host in on my skin-server. (I'm working on a skin-management idea I hope to get Jason to consider).

These a great news for me! :)  I like your work. I am not a specialist but for me it seems to be perfect. Like those colours.

And once again to all, who are sharing those fantastic skins.

THANK YOU :salute:

That reminds me. It was difficult for me to find information on how to produce a DDS texture. I am a Mac and Linux user who only runs Windows for games.

If you are doing this stuff on a Mac like me, this workflow seems to work:

- Edit PSD in Photoshop, GIMP or your editor of choice which supports PSDs (I use CS4)

- Flatten the image after checking layer order and visibility (hide the wires layer)

- Export as a TIFF preserving the alpha channel

- Convert to DDS format (use DXT 5 in settings) using Graphic Converter

Thanks for your input - I´m using Windows and CS6 with the nvidia plugin - but I´ve accidentally saved the files as DXT3 before which used an explicit alpha channel.

With DXT 5 and interpolated alpha it´s working fine now :)

Hello Jason.

I use Gimp2 into it and I installed this font: " Macedonian Casual " Downloads think of these sites:

http://thfonts.com/macedonian-casual/

I'm sorry, my English is poor and translator into Czech is doing worse, so hopefully I asked understood correctly.

Thanks Iceman. I'm always on the look out for good handwritten style fonts that look good in Cyrillic.

Hello Iceman,

Could you make your skins in an unzipped folder. You're skins are flat out amazing, but I don't want to use WinZip.

Thanks,

I love these. Could you possibly make some LW skins for the 202? I've only seen one, and there are multiple people have posted requests with pictures for it.

Thanks,

Milo

Just out of pure curiosity - may I ask why you don´t wanna use WinZip?

And besides that - isn´t Windows itself capable of opening archives?

Regarding MC 202, I have a little problem with the localization of some components on the template.  And finding me a little tired.  But if I can do it and if no one do that ,possibly i will do them.;)

Winzip is a pretty old program and there are better free alternatives that are pleasant to use. "7z" is extremely good, and Winrar is another good one. The free version continues to function after the trial period expires.

Hi guys. I am from South Africa and we also flew the P40 in Ww2. I did a bit of searching on the internet today to see any saaf kittyhawks and found this aircraft-

http://forum.largescaleplanes.com/index.php?showtopic=40177

The aircraft is from the most famous saaf squadron (number 2...aka the flying cheetahs) and it exists still today flying the gripen. 2 squadron also served which distintion in Korea. The noseart is Africa with a Springbok jumping over it. Well the rugby world cup is on the go now and you will also see it there :-))

It would be much appreciated if this skin could be considered. Regards A.

For anyone taking an interest, and needing a quick reference in exporting their additional work ,(from the original files the dev's have been kind enough to share with us within these forums), this may just help.

This example was completed within Windows 10, but Gimp is available for Linux as well. The video tutorial also demonstrates just one of the many basic ways of converting a *.PSD to a *.DDS within Gimp.

All links are below the videos description.

Hey everyone,

The P-40 is one of my all time favorite aircraft.  I have built several Balsa RC P-40s and wanted to share with you all my favorite paint scheme all skinned up.  Hopefully those checkers do their job and scare off a few 109's for you ;)
