Elem Posted September 26, 2015 Posted September 26, 2015 Ok, so not the Eastern Front but hopefully of interest to fellow enthusiasts. Duxford was in the thick of it last weekend as well as 75 years ago. The BoB was fought and won and Britain could breath a little easier and rejoice in a great victory. At least for a short while. These are just a few of the Spits (and other A/C) that took part in the show. It was a superb display, blessed with great weather and lighting. The sky was full of the sound of Merlins and Griffins and a fitting tribute to all the brave young few who prevailed over tyranny. 2

Finkeren Posted September 26, 2015 Posted September 26, 2015 Great pictures, although this thread really belongs in the Free Subject forum.
Mags Posted September 26, 2015 Posted September 26, 2015 Yes, I was there also. Very nice airdisplay. Those 15 Spitfires and 2 Seafires up in the air all at the same time was awesome. Great sound. For the first time in my life I saw (and heard) Hurricanes and a B-17. Well done, Duxford! I got back home to Sweden with over 1200 raw-pictures wich I'm sorting right now. Pheew! Have good day!
Czar66 Posted September 26, 2015 Posted September 26, 2015 Amazing post Elem! Love to see some pictures like that on forums. Thank you for it! Happy hunting
Goz Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 I too was at Duxford. Worth every penny of the flight from Sydney and the Gold Pass. The best bit was the massed Spitfire flyby https://youtu.be/9V-Q593ut2Q
