Guest deleted@50488 Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 (edited) One of the tests I am really willing to perform is that of the relationship between MP and prop RPM at sub blower settings, on ground and inflight. I want to see that MP rise as we reduce PRPM, and the way around, when the supercharger didn't yet kick in... BTW: what engine variant(s) is/are going to be included ? Allison ? Packard Merlin ? -TBC-AeroAce Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 I'm guessing Allison although I would rather the Merlin
6./ZG26_5tuka Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 If I remember correctly it's the P-40E with allison engine. The air cooler inlet also indicates it's an E variant.

P-40 E-1 had Allison V-1710-F3R (or -39, depending on nomenclature) with take-off rating of 45.5"Hg. Good old Allison. 1

1CGS LukeFF Posted September 25, 2015 1CGS Posted September 25, 2015 (edited) And for those who are wondering: the only essential difference between a P-40E and P-40E-1 was that the latter was the export model intended for the UK and Commonwealth countries; as such, it had different radio equipment and a British-style paint scheme.
