Frankly I'm tired of hearing it. It quit being funny about 5 years ago.

That's what she said!

(Trying to interject another tired phrase as a possible replacement)

BoS needs its own phrase. Perhaps we should copy take a leaf out of the dev's book and refer to one another as "Dear Friends".

(From BoS facebook feed)

Look at that LaGG-3 drag run tests in 1942. Ours is already tested and will be revealed for early access in 2 weeks already!

[...]

All right, you remember the 2 weeks thing from the MG team - good for you. Okay, November 12th it is - sounds better now, doesn't it? :)

There is one thing for certain, the more you complain about an annoying saying, the more it will turn up. Fact of life!

I really hate that saying 'Bongodriver is an air god'......

yeah, but it's like hearing a very old and trite joke over and over and over and over and over and over... and over.

Besides there's nothing more annoying than people trying to be witty with jokes that are not their own..

Your right, but don't stress about it. In next to no time people would have forgotten about it and it will be like water under the bridge and you'll never have to hear it again.

Two weeks! Be sure!!

I'm somehow glad that "two weeks, be sure!" will never die. Not in this community :)

LOL. The Money Pit! Anyone who's done extensive remodeling understands. LOL Though I wonder if on occasion if OM and crew were the contractors.

Great clip! LOL

OK, the truth is that there is a specific reason why I detest the thing: my wife more or less willingly followed the whole saga of the old IL-2 and knows well about the "two weeks" thing, and uses it every now and then when she's in a bit of a "witty nag" mood.. "so how long is it gonna take you to paint the doors? Two weeks I suppose?"

Lol. Now that makes more sense; fully understand where you're coming from there :)

I think that the single biggest revolution in the whole flight sim genre would be if the phrase just got forgotten and never been brought up again. If I was running a forum, using the 2 weeks thing would be an insta-ban. If anyone really needs to use some classic phrases from gaming history, they should try this:

"main screen turn on"

"someone set up us the bomb"

"you have no chance to survive make your time"

..and might be doing it again soon ;-)

almost a month has gone since the closing of their kickstarter fundraising and nothing has been announced yet... ah the good ol' habits...

This is the reason why I'd choose Jason and his team any day of the week.

Actually there have been 3 development updates and Ilya has been away for the last 2 weeks, hence no recent updates. Having said that, I too would choose Jason and his team if I had to make a choice; as it is I'm backing both.

my bad then, do you have any link?

I meant - saying those two words should be worth a ban.  It was a joke.

nope, the response actually is "ask Oleg!"

Hello folks,

I’ve been absolutely swamped these past few days. Catching a plane to Moscow in a couple of hours, so I probably won’t respond to any questions or comments on this update for at least 24 hours.

This is the problem, followed by this from the same update

Stay tuned for a 3D modeling update on Friday!

And then no sign of anything or any comment for sixteen days... be sure  :)

Cheers Dakpilot
