Jason_Williams Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Pilots, Many of you are excited to see PWCG for being worked on by Pat Wilson. I am too. However, the quality of the details presented in PWCG are dependent on how much detailed information we can gather such as information about: Aces (German and Russian) Units (German and Russian) Skins (German and Russian) Therefore we are looking for help from the community to gather this information and present to Pat so he can use. I need some motivated volunteers to manage certain data (Czar) help me get this done. Many of you are experts on the Eastern Front. Let's put that knowledge to work in PWCG. If interested please see this area of the forum. http://forum.il2sturmovik.com/forum/99-pwcg-bos/ Jason 3
C6_Claymore Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Hello Jason, Sorry for this question but what is "PWCG" ?
Jason_Williams Posted September 22, 2015 Author Posted September 22, 2015 Sorry. I always assume everyone knows. Pat Wilson Campaign Generator. It has all the role playing and customization the hardcore crowd likes. It was a huge hit with the ROF community so Pat and I are trying to bring it to BOS community. Jason
C6_Claymore Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Ok thank's And what about for something like "SEOW" for iL2-1946 ?
Jason_Williams Posted September 22, 2015 Author Posted September 22, 2015 Maybe someday. There was a group working on something similar but they seem to have stopped. Pat is American so it is easy for me to work with him on his app. Jason 1
SCG_Space_Ghost Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Ok thank's And what about for something like "SEOW" for iL2-1946 ? SEOW is primarily for online wars. PWCG (ROF Edition) could generate co-op missions but was designed with SP in mind.
LLv24_Zami Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Hello Jason, Sorry for this question but what is "PWCG" ? It`s a great tool in RoF. We are really lucky to have it for BoS/BoM. Hopefully the experts step in for that stuff Jason asked. I know here in this forum are guys with a wast knowledge of those aces/units at their hands. It would be great to get that information for PWCG. Unfortunetaly I am not one of those guys
C6_Claymore Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Thank's guys, as I don't have RoF I didn't know this tool
pilotpierre Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 (edited) Jason, Is PWCG going to be embedded and accessible within the game, or will it be a separate entity as it is with RoF? Edited October 17, 2015 by pilotpierre 1
SCG_Neun Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 This might sound like a dumb question...but Lowengrin's DCG for the Eastern Front...would this information be appropriate for our purposes....and if so, maybe we could reach out to him for some of this information...
SOLIDKREATE Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 Jason it will not work for me. I cannot 'Accept Mission' no matter what pilot I chose.
Jason_Williams Posted October 18, 2015 Author Posted October 18, 2015 Any problems with PWCG please post in the appropriate section. It's Pat's code. I'm not a troubleshooter or tech support. PWCG will always be a 3rd Party app outside of the game. I've asked Pat to port it over so there is an alternative to our system for super hardcore users who like such details. Jason
SCG_Neun Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 I read the hardcore reference as a complement to Pat's program...and nothing more. Jason's has been a big advocate of this program for a long time..... pushing it for the very reasons you proffer. But that's just my take on it...
ACG_pezman Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 Is PWGC dynamic in the generation of the front?
SCG_Space_Ghost Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 Is PWGC dynamic in the generation of the front? PWCG ROF Edition generated the front lines (in Moving Frontline mode) based off of this historical frontline for that given point in the war. I imagine Pat will do something similar for this project.
