Very bad performance (4xHe111 over Stalingrad)

After upgrade of my GPU I tried for the first time attack on the He 111 bombers and was very disappointed by the low FPS.

I set up 4x He 111 with escort of 4 Bf 109 and I attacked them with 4 Laggs.

When I switch to an external camera of the first bomber and look behind to other 3 bombers and the Stalingrad city FPS drops to 42-44 and the game is almost unplayable .

I tried to turn off every settings in the graphic options menu except of ultra settings.

Whats your FPS in this situation?

I tried this on balanced settings with everything else off and  I have still 42-44 fps and a lot of stuttering pffffffffff

 

It seems to me that attack on the formation of B17 would be impossible with this graphic engine.

It's not your graphics but your CPU that's limiting things. The He111 use a lot of AI resources.

I know that but i dont think that my CPU is so bad. In other games there is a approx.  5 FPS difference between my cpu and better ones

 

 

What I dont understand is why in ROF and BOS where your FPS is below 50 there is a lot of stutters.

 

I havent experienced it in any other game

I have little less powerful system than you. Tested QMB Stalingrad with those planes and get a little worse fps than you. So nothing wrong with your machine I suppose. No difference with me if I change graphic settings so it is probably mostly a CPU thing.

I am getting a 6700k within couple of days as soon as mail delivers it. I will test this again with the Skylake to see the difference. If there is any.

Tested this scenario with 6700k@4.6Ghz and there is 45-50 fps when looking outside first Heinkel to the Stalingrad. I had 38-40 with 4670k@4.2Ghz. Heinkel is really demanding for CPU power it seems.

Heck and I was thinking I had something wrong with my setup, but I'm getting consistently bad performance in the same situation as you guys. Well, that's a bit of a relief to know the Heinkel is the culprit of the bad performance. Even better to know that I don't have to upgrade my CPU since it would give very little gains. And no other game - except Arma 3 - would benefit much from the upgrade right now.

 

Man I miss the days where AMD and Intel fought hard for our money. Intel is just idling since Sandy Bridge even if Skylake is a tiny step ahead. And AMD is just selling CPUs for a parallel word we don't see, since they try to perform great on stuff people doesn't really need right now.

Its not only he 111. I attacked a train with four sturmoviks against 8 bf 109 and with 2 laggs as escort above Stalingrad and performance was terrible until some of the planes was shot down.

 

I have slightly better performance with vsync off, but there is tearing with track Ir.

I reversed my gpu drivers to 355.60 and uninstaled fu..... nvidia geforce experince!  and stutters are almost gone!!!

Sorry to dig up this old thread but i was wondering how your experiences are now regarding performance and the Heinkel. I recently upgraded and the game runs very well, with the exception of the Heinkel. I tried a Heinkel campagne in PWCG and with a flight of four Heinkel my framerate drops from 80 to 30 frames. 

 

I have the latest Nvidia drivers installed (359.06).

Hi, performance is still not good with 4 x Heinkels and bigger planes. Try low level fight with bf110 against 4 sturmoviks with some escort fighters over the Stalingrad city . I have low fps and stutters.

Honestly I dont see any performance drop with the new update and summer map like some people have. I have always had low fps and stutters even on winter map.

Sometimes fire and smoke from a nearby destroyed plane is ok and sometimes there are big stutters and fps drops to 40. (in 4x4 fight high above the ground).
