Raha Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 I bought the standard edition of BoS on disk, it had to be activated on Steam. After a few weeks I have decided I would like to buy the premium aircraft. On the box it says extra content can be purchased at il2sturmovik.com. Is this correct? I'm confused, I was led to believe that Steam game content must be purchased from the steam site, or can I purchase from either?
wtornado Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 I use Steam for every game that I can purchase it is hassle free you get all the updates as soon as they are released and you can check your game integrity if you think the file is corrupt. If someone steals your game key you can easily prove it with your electronic receipt in a few days. I know my IL-2 Cliffs of Dover CD KEY was stolen by a hacker and someone was using it online. I proved without a doubt the game was purchased by me and the other guy was banned for life and lost all his games his nickname,everything.. Fitting ending. Backups on STEAM of the game are easy to make too with just a click of a button. You see all the specials and you get all the updates that is very important in my book.
