II./JG27_Rich Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 (edited) I would sugest going out and buying a nice thread bound log book like so. It will be a cool keep sake to show all your pals in the old folks home what a nut you are. Write down all of your big wins etc. Over a few years you'll probably fill 3 or 4. DD_bongodriver Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 I'm bad enough at keeping my real flying log book up to date, this should come with a free admission to the nut house

ATAG_Slipstream Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 (edited) Bongo would a typical entry in your log book be 'Kent-Monaco, no crashes, win.' Edited October 30, 2013 by Uther
DD_bongodriver Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 No typically it's EGKB to ULMM crap Russian ATC and corrupt refuellers and lots and lots of big hats asking for documents.
DD_bongodriver Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 every time, the handling agents are on to them most of the time though and know how to handle these guys, lots of finger waving and shouting, meanwhile we are being surrounded by the big hats for documents, then when the vodka fuelled refuellers finally get the message and we can uplift you cringe when they drag out the floppiest moth eaten old rubber hose from a Soviet era tanker truck and you just pray that not too many of the chunks of rubber that once were the inner lining of said hose make it into your fuel tanks.
DD_bongodriver Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 Actually taking this back on topic, it might be quite cool if the game kept this kind of record and had facility for printing it.
=BKHZ=Furbs Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 A log book would be great, save-able and print-able.
HeavyCavalrySgt Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 Also useful if you can save them past the life of a pilot. One of the frustrating things for me about RoF is that you have very limited career spots, and no in game capacity to save old log books or compare a current pilot to his predecessor.
II./JG27_Rich Posted October 31, 2013 Author Posted October 31, 2013 The real thing. Eugen Hoffann's log book.
II./JG27_Rich Posted October 31, 2013 Author Posted October 31, 2013 (edited) Well the reason I'm going to do it is that I'm really sorry that I didn't 12 years ago. Even if I just wrote down the great stuff like the long long fights that hsppen once and a while. The funny stuff etc. Edited October 31, 2013 by II./JG27Richie
SCG_Neun Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 Sounds like a great idea once I get my learning curve on this new Sim up to snuff. It would be great if we could use the combat results from the mission log to automatically keep track in an online log, the way it used to be with IL-2 back in the day.....With a summary block to throw in our personal comments.... 1
BraveSirRobin Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 Rise of Flight has the the option for servers to capture stats compiled for each sortie. I assume that Battle of Stalingrad will eventually have something similar. http://stats.newwingstraining.com/
