Pat posted approx. an hour ago an update on his work for  PWCG for BOS.  I'll just paraphaise here some of the parts,

"I have been working on this for a couple of months now."

"Rof PWCG users will be right at home."

"PWCG for BOS will, by necessity, be a bit different."

"Missions will include fighter, dive bomber, attack plane and level bomber.  Fighters will fly intercept, patrol, scramble, escort and possibly attack missions.  Dive bombers and attack planes will be limited to that role. Level bombers will get primarily bombing missions but may also get recon."

The post goes on a bit, but the best part according to Pat is that he expects something around November.

Sorry I was unable to port over the whole post.

Any how more good news. :)

PS, at SimHq look for the PWCG Update in the IL-2: Battle of Stalingrad forum.

Thanks for the info. This is the most exciting news I've had in BoS life. :)

This is so great! It will be a whole new game for SP. Awesome :)

Yes!!! Recon missions as well! Awesome.

If it's customizable to the same degree as PWCG it's gonna have damn near unlimited replay value.

Anyone have an idea as to wether he plans to include campaigns for the Moscow and Velikyie Luki maps?

He writes that you can fly in Moscau and continue over to Stalingrad with a pilot once it is available

Quote from Pat:

In the future, when there is more than one battle available, pilots will start a career at a point of their choosing within the scope of available battles. When a battle ends the pilot will move to the next battle. Using the current plans as an example, a pilot will be able to start in Moscow, fight that battle, and then move to Stalingrad. He will not be able to start in Stalingrad and then go back in time to Moscow. If it ever comes to pass that two battles overlap PWCG will allow transfers between them.

Sounds like wet dream come true

I'd like to say, that I can't wait, but actually I can. I want this to be done right, so in my book Pat can take all the time he needs to finish this properly.

Sounds exciting!

I didnt have a chance to use his Campaign generator for RoF but everyone speaks wonders of PWCG.

Any improvements to an already great game are welcome!

I have only heard of Mr Wilson because I never did get into RoF - BoS takes up ALL my spare time - and PWCG but it seems like his work is highly regarded. Is he being remunerated for this work that he is doing for BoS? I am also excited to see what the "fuss" is all about as I am solely a MP pilot at the moment - I don't like AI pilots.
