  1. 1. Do you want new commands to communicate with ground control?

    • Command: get info: vector to airbase
    • Command: get info: vector to enemy planes
    • Command: get info: vector to bombers to be escorted
    • Command: get info: vector to ground targets
    • Other Commands not listed here (e.g. permission toland, ...)
    • I don't need new commands for communication with ground control

Hi All

I like BOS because of it's great graphics, the detailed landscape and the flight model.

What I dislike is that I get only very few informations from the ground control.

I don'like the arrow for the direction and don't want to see moving symbols on the map  because these features were not available in WW2.

So I suggest to add some new radio commands to ground control to the communications menu:

1.) Most important: vector to airbase (IL2 1946)

2.) Very important: Vector to enemy planes (IL2 Clod, IL2 1946 command and control)

3.) Important: Vector to Bombers to be escorted.

4.) Optional: Vector to ground Targets

The information should be hearable via voice.

If that is not possible subtitles could be used too (IL2 1946 command and control)

Do you like my suggestions?

Best regards

The problem with this kind of poll is that most people will of course want new features in the game. The real question is how important is this stuff compared to other features? Maybe once in a while a poll should be made listing popular features that compete for the same resources to be implemented, and ask people to pick the one they want first.

By the way, it's already possible to have vectors to enemy planes, both using subtitles and voice, but it's up to mission designers to take advantage of the feature. The trick is to use a ground unit with spotting enabled. It will say things like "run-away fighters 5km to the south-east". However, it cannot be triggered by players, spotters are entirely autonomous, and you will hear them provided you are close enough, regardless of whether you want those messages or not.
