Anybody else flying the Soulmade Sim De Havilland Beaver in X-plane?

She's amazing. Did anybody else fly her? Flew her for 2-3h. Did they change something in X-plane? I did actually spin in a Tomahawk...weird.

Hmm, I'll have to check that one now that I am 100% in X-Plane 10 + Aerowinx PSX. Thx for the hint!

She's really fun and she has an autopilot... :) I'm flying Stuttgart-Augsburg-Munich-Innsbruck as I write. And she looks and feels bettter than in the youtube videos - acutually more like this one:

Tell me about PSX, please. I only found some multi monitor 747 videos on youtube.

Great airplane. The Beaver has been one of my preferred, starting with one, long ago, in Flight Unlimited 2 :-)

Aerowinx PSX can, for instance, be used in a single PC and monitor, like I use it, and making FSX, P3D or XP10 ( I use XP10 ) the external graphics generator.

You can find examples of a real B744 captain flying training scenarios using PSX with P3D, and videos of XP10 being used for the external views, which is my preferred setting.

PSX has it's own visuals, which not being bad, are meant to be used for training and not sight seeing, so, we simmers usually prefer to get FSX ow XP10 for the job :-(

It's a full 744 sim, with practically all of the systems and functionalities of the real 744 simulated.

indiaciki,

back to x-plane 10, where I am back as well and trying to concentrate on a few projects regarding flight dynamics, I would recommend an excellent freeware add-on ( payware some years ago )...

The Ilyushin IL14P

It's a true masterpiece ( Felis being one of my preferred X-Plane aircraft designers )

If you like aerobatic aircraft, also make sure you get these two:

Yak-55  from the .ORG

and this great Sbach 300 ( READ THE INCLUDED MANUAL - uses a plugin, and requires specific settings for your controller axis for a better experience... )

Most of the stuff from XPFR is great anyway, aircraft and scenery, all for free - X-Plane 10 can really be inexpensive to maintain, using just the myriad of available freeware add-ons of all kinds. Make sure you visit also SimHeaven.com and world2xplane.com for great scenery stuff !

I just bought my first scenary for X-Plane CZST Stewart (Canada) for the Beaver - really great for VFR. Made a video around the airport trying to 3-point a Tomahwk :I Flew the Beaver for 2 days. Take look at it. It's fantastic.

I downloaded the planes you suggested. Haven't tried them, yet. Seems they improved the FM in 10.46. The tomahwak goes into a spin...doesn't stay for long - easy to revover, though. PSX looks serious though I'm not into airliners or jets. Havent figured out the DCS MIG 21 though I learned some russian - I fly the russian cockpit since the Yugoslav army manuals that I have all have russian descriptions.

If you know another great scenary let me know. I'm X-Plane only right now.

Whow!  That scenery really looks amazing!  ORBX style, although I only owned ORBX Global for FSX / P3D... But X-Plane 10 scenery is even better, IMO...

Mainly around Portugal, where I live and soar for real :-)

But I have a few photo sceneries of the most visited airports when I use PSX with XP10 for the visuals...

Problem is, my disk is only ( on purpose ) 250 GB !

Ehehe, You can land at the Tejo river bay with the floats version :-)

I cross it every time I go to work at LPPT, by boat or by car :-)
