Catching up: Just a few questions

I've been away with work for the past 9 months and haven't be able to follow BOS development very closely. I'm trying to get an idea as to what major things have transpired with the game. Sorry if I'm asking repetitive questions, but internet access is pretty spotty where I am.

 

1) I seem to recall that all premium members were supposed to be awarded unlocked weapons/skins, and things of the sort. Or did they just make adjustments to the previous point system to unlock them? 

2) Summer maps. I know they are due in the fall. It's autumn right now. Any word?

3) BOS to BoM plane compatibility. Is that happening?

4) Does the career mode still suck? Is there a respectable career mode now?

3) Yes they are compatable .... and if you buy BoM the planes (the one ready) are already avaiable once you activate it. Nothing to download.

1. http://il2sturmovik.com/activate-unlocks/ - this will unlock the loadouts for all of your aircraft but the official skins are still locked and require you to play the SP campaign (See #4.)

2. Autumn has barely begun... They are coming and I believe they are in internal testing - keep an open eye around some of these threads... Jason and others have been providing little teasers as we get closer to the release. (https://www.facebook.com/il2sturmovik)

3. Both standalone titles will integrate with each other via your one IL-2 account.

4. Short answer - Yes and no.

2. We still have to wait.  The September equinox is on Sept. 23 in the northern hemisphere, the beginning of autumn at least where I am.  I'm not quite ready to give up summer yet, although at 65 with clouds and rain I can feel it knocking.

4. There`s simple 3rd party career generator made by Warhamm. You make a pilot, it gives orders for missions and you fly them in stock campaign. I use this to fill the gap for now and it`s working for me.

In the long term we are waiting Pat Wilson to complete Rise of Flight PWCG conversion to BoS. Jason posted this a while ago:  http://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/18104-pat-wilson-needs-help/

 

If we could have PWCG with ingame GUI it would be perfect.

1) Unlocks are gone, all you have to do is log into your account on the website and activate the unlocks.

 

2) God Willing.

 

3) Yes.

 

4) It still sucks, but IL-2 Commander makes it better.

This is HUGELY good news for single players!!! The only thing I can think of that is close to PWCG is Lowengrin's DCG for IL-2 1946. Although they both offer different play styles their impact to content is similar. Adding PWCG to BoS will be like going from Soap Box Derby to NASCAR for single players!
