Can editor work in a lower spec laptop

I am away from the gaming rig for a while and want to at least run the editor on a laptop to work on a mission and I can't get it to run. I installed the game from the website. the game will run but in stuttervision which is ok as I won't be playing but the editor and the viewer close with a windows error.

 

I just wondered if there is a way for the editor to run on the lower spec laptop.

 

 

The processor is an i3 at 2.5 GHz with 4 Gig RAM

 

As I say not wanting to run the game just have a working editor

Hi TP_Jacko,

 

What "viewer" are you referring to, the BoS model viewer? What does the windows error say? Are you trying to run two BoS modules at the same time (e.g., editor and game)?

Hello JimTM, 

 

I have since found out what the error is as I was running the editor from a copy I made that was not running correctly. I reinstalled an I can now open the editor. But its hard work making map changes with the spec I have on the laptop. I can't use the 3D view. Look like I have to wait to get back to my gaming rig to edit efficiently.
