Hi everyone,

I thought it would be a good place to share knowledge and ideas about setting up a hotas on your desk.

I'm sure some of you know Joyloc stuff. I was inclined to buy a pair of their stuff, despite the price, but seeing that they won't sell anything until hopefully 2014 made me angry.

So I went on google to find something else...and I did!

just look at this site : http://www.rogerdodger.net/diyflightsims.html

the blueprint have to be bought, but for a cheap price (in my opinion).

You will have to buy a couple of PVC tubes and some connector, but at the end the final price is really low.

I bought and started to build the floor unit with center joystick this weekend, and I am astonished how easy and quick this has been. It took me about 2hr to cut all the pieces with a metal saw and dryfit everything. I will glue all the pieces in a couple of days, and maybe paint it for the big day that is coming.

By the way, overall cost including all the PVC and wood, blueprint and all was about 80€. Cheap eh? ;)

some pics will come once it is done

I used one big tube, attached it to a wooden board. The pedals can be placed on the board, so that they don't move around and also to make the base heavier, so the stick can be thrown around without any wobbling. I placed the throttle on stool. Overall, it's very solid and flexible, so it doesn't take up too much room when it's not in use.

Total costs must've been way less than 30 €. I can't say for sure, except for the tubes (5,20 €), because most of the other stuff i used is a few years old and i can't remember what i paid for that.

Maybe i'll post a photo of it.
