DD_Kev83 Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 hi everyone my name is horus of ACG and i would like to start a thread about getting clickable cockpits in BOS , now i mite be alone on this but i really enjoy clickable cockpits in dcs and clod, it for me really adds to the immersion of them games and i really would love it if BOS had it as a option as well so i am asking the community if its something we would like and to ask the good people of 777 is it something we could maybe get down the line at some stage ??? 1
Sunde Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 Totally up for it as an option, if you want it, but i really doubt it would happen.
No601_Swallow Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 Here's my deeply personal opinion (other opinions are available!)... In my long love/hate tussle of madness with CloD, I got to know the start-up procedures of most of the aircraft very well. By that I mean, I knew the routine of short-cut key-strokes I needed to hit and when even for - especially for - multi-engine aircraft. Start up in a 111 or a 110 or (even) a Blenheim was a series of key-strokes I knew by heart. Usually I didn't look at the cockpit and the beautiful dials, I didn't monitor the engine temps (much), I just knew how long to wait and when to hit which keyboard shortcut. The thing is, once you'd learnt it, it was a chore. Yes, you had the satisfaction of learning it, but then it was a pain. I much much much prefer what I think is the more honest approach of BoS, where the boring bit is taken out of the equation and the game just assumes you know how to start up a plane. I agree that DCS is great as a civilian flight sim . I personally feel I peaked in the sim-world when I could start up an ATR 72 from cold and dark in FS2004 (I can't remember how now of course!). But they're different beasts. If and when I make my first billion dollars/quid/euro and decide to donate a team of programmers to 777 to do it, that'll be great, but for now I'm very content with the approach Zak and the boys have taken. Personally, obviously. 2
1CGS LukeFF Posted September 3, 2015 1CGS Posted September 3, 2015 Guys, it's not going to happen. Let it go already. 2
Jason_Williams Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 I'm sorry, but this is not something we are going to be doing. Things have not changed on this subject. Jason 4
6./ZG26_McKvack Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 Clickable cockpit is always fine but then again as said above, after some time it gets boring. BOS does not need that and is fine without it. 1

1./KG4_Blackwolf Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 I never did use them or like the idea, like said above I have keys programmed. 2
