Hi,

I just bought the game and was setting up my Saitek x52 like I had it for 1946 and CloD when I noticed some problems. Anyone know how I can correctly set these controls?

trim left and right - I want the lower thumb wheel  on throttle(surrounds the blue D) to adjust yaw trim

trim up and down- I want the bigger thumb wheel on throttle (with the blue E inside) to adjust

map - I want the lower hat switch on the stick to open map when I go 90 degrees

I'm sure I'll be able to add to this list over time and some kind soul will be able to help. These are just the functions I have noticed from the start :-)

Of course I have tried what I thought would work but these three controls aren't working... any help greatly appreciated!

Hi gjarreu, welcome aboard!

As far as I know it is not possible to set trims on the wheels unfortunetaly.

About the map thing, you can set multiple functions for any key or switch but I don`t think that works like you mean. When you press hat switch and change view, map doesn`t show up until you let go of the switch. And map won`t close before you press the switch again. So I think it is not possible.

The game dont support trim* on axis (the thumb wheel) in analog mode.

What you can try do is divide this axis in bands with Saitek soft' and make each band send keypress (the same mapped for trim in digital mode).

* The exception is Bf 109 "Stabilizer trim" - this one can be mapped direct on analog (axis) thumb wheel.

map - I want the lower hat switch on the stick to open map when I go 90 degrees

The real (useful, the M call only a "GPS" screen) map is called "Show/hide mission briefing" (default key O), add the HAT 90 degrees for this - each command can have up to 3 keys/combos/buttons/HAT assigned.

As the previous post explain is need press the HAT for briefing/map ON and press again for map OFF, but using Saitek sof' maybe you can map the key assigned for this (O) on HAT press and release, so the map is show only when the HAT is pressed, if this is what you want.

EDIT: Found how to change my username

Thank you both for your replies. I believe I can work something out with this new information.
