The Luftwaffe arrives!

The second set of missions has now been added.

This now takes the Malta Mod to 20 missions, covering both the Italian attack, and now the arrival (then departure) of the Luftwaffe in early 1940.

You will be able to either fly for the RAF, defending against the Luftwaffe and Regia Aeronautica, or the Luftwaffe, as part of Fliegerkorps X attempt to destroy the RAF as a prelude to invasion.

All missions are of course based on historical events of Jan to May 1941.

The self installer for the mission set is available at airwarfare.com link below:

For instructions on how to install the Malta Mod (by Valeriy Kucheraviy and Fred Williams) go here.

README

This package contains the files needed for Missions 1-20 of the mission package: The Italian Attack and Luftwaffe Arrives.

The package also includes the necessary briefing photographs and Med/North Africa aircraft skins.

To install these missions using the autoinstaller, follow the prompts install the content where your IL2COD user content folder is located, usually:

C:\Users\YOURNAME\Documents\1C SoftClub\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover

And follow the rest of the install process. The necessary files will be placed in your missions, screenshots and skins folders.

If you do not nominate a folder in which to place the files, they will simply be put in your MyDocuments folder for you to place manually.

ENJOY

PS in the final chapter, large scale Axis convoy attacks, and the turning of the tide through the arrival of the Spitfire, will be featured.

LOL THANKS

Does this MOD work with TF 4.0 or is this a stand alone MOD that we have to make a new folder for?

New folder, sadly.

But I'm pretty sure they're aiming for a Malta map in TF 5.0 or 6.0.

For some reason i'm very eager to dump TF for this... as long as there is a MP campaign running :)

No MP yet sorry. Valeriy is part of Team Fusion so you never know, but I know he is spending his energy on TF 5.0 and we wouldn't want it any other way!

PS you don't need to 'dump' anything. You can have both mods side by side.

do you guys know whether further aircraft packs are being developed for CoD?

Posted (edited)

I would but the mods delete everything I say to you  So I PM'd instead.

I'm sure that if we stay on topic nobody will cancel anything.

I wish it was possible to add models in game. Then we could have the Mk.Vb and Vc Spitfire and the Bf-109F-4/Trop plus the Bf-109E-7/Trop

Team Fusion is working on it...they have got new ship and sub models at an alpha stage and are working on Med maps. I think we just have to be patient...

Awesome! Really nice!

Gotta download it!
